Hi everyone.
I am enough with the forced flash issue on F31. It does not 100% of the time flash even when I have selected forced flash under bright sunny day. The last I post here, couple other owners experience the same.
However, I found no one complain about this problem in international forum, it is not even mention in any reviews I have read.
So, before I send in to Fujifilm (still a bit hesitate due to their POOR service) I would like to gather a head count who else experience the same and who has no problem at all? I want to make a guess if it is a firmware related problem or simply a faulty device.
Thanks.

Getting Started

|
Hi,
I am also owner of F31. Can you explain how forced flash cannot work? i mean the flash did come out or flash come out, but the screen still very bright, or what mode you choose....
By the way, how much you get for F31?

QUOTE(greyPJ @ Dec 22 2007, 11:48 AM) check the exif, what is the flash status? good idea, but all exif info without flash information i sort of manage to 'replicate' the problem. anyone mind to test this? on the camera, don't do anything for 10 seconds, try taking a shot quickly with forced flash, it does not flash at all. immediately after it, take another shot, flash fired. something is terribly wrong. I remember on my F31FD, flash does ON when I chosen force flash. I will try it again and update you about it.

I will try it again and update you about it. sometimes it does, most of the time when it is dark, under bright day light, you will have a problem. this causes all my subjects turned up dark because sun shine from the back. so far only another forumers here reported the same. i have posted in dpreview, seems like no one having the problem... or maybe their weather is different.

im curious, so i tried replicate ur situation on my S5. my S5 just refused to shoot. another attempt one or two second later, it shoot with flash.
this is my opinion. it probably coz of the flash recharging itself. it has become my habit when im shooting with flash, i'll keep my camera 'flash ready' by half-press the shoot button or operate the zoom once in a while after switch on the camera and waiting for oppurtunity(coz my camera took a few sec to charge from 'cold start' and 1 or 2 sec if i didnt operate any button on camera after a certain period (10sec?) depending on how strong the flash level). and i read somewhere, some camera can shoot even if its flash not fully recharge (it shoot minus flash) and some camera just wont shoot till its fully recharged (i believe my camera fell in this group).
if this is the case (and if it's common to all F31), u just have to be 'flash ready' when it's time to shoot.
