Guys, allow me to clarify something here.
DA is originally started by Southern Bank before they merged with CIMB. Their were designed for the "Graduated" which means you must own a Diploma or Degree to apply for it. It's been a Free For Life card since it begin.
The other CIMB (Paypass) are the originally the CC from CIMB, consists of Classic, Gold and Platinum. For the past few only CIMB started offering these as Free For Life. Currently they are promoting the Gold Card with free gift for the walk in applicant (applied on a few branches only - their HQ at Damansara (formerly Southern Bank HQ) for the Klang Valley area). This was advertised in newspaper a while back.
p/s: I'm a Southern Bank CC holder since 2001 and recently they offer an upgrade to Gold Card that are Free For Life.
FYI: EON Bank also offer a Free For Life for their CC with the condition you need to swipe it for at least 12 times in a year (average once a month), but they are very conservative on the credit limit.
Great information. im submitted my application via CIMB branch on 24Dec and today got calls from SC... they will be sending the card to my house...
