I actually don't think the VID has anything to do with overclockability overally. It only means there's a higher chance of the processor being able to clock higher with less voltage as it started off to be stable at the same speed across the same processors with less voltage.

It's most probably from different batch as it comes from different wafer, the only thing VID shows is that your processor can be ran stablely at stock speed at a lower voltage, that's all, not really a guaranteed better overclocking chip, it might not like high voltages, or maybe need high voltage to run at a higher speed(which might be why it's binned to be a lower speed processor instead also)
