 how to connect to internet automatically, when compute turns on?

i'm using streamyx via ethernet to connect to the internet...

i enabled the "connect automatically when needed" but when i open my browser, it won't connect automatically

You can make ur connection auto connect when logon to windows.Go to network connection,make a new connection.A select ur comp connect aumatcially to the internet bla bla.Not much remember too much cuz 8 months using vista liao.Paiseh.. laugh.gif

nope not using dial up.. my modem isn;t a router.. just the normal one... ppoe..

The easiest way I found out and am using now is with a router. My router is set up to connect automatically, and connected all the time, so regardless whether my Mac is on or off, it is connected. This works both on OSX and Windows.

btw, you sure it is just a modem? If you using the tmnut modem (blue 1), that is a router + modem itself. You can set auto-connect via the router under 192.168.1.1 address

oh, btw, i can connect automatically now.. hehe, i just set to apple menu>location> streamyx.. done!
