Hi guys,

I tried looking around the forum but I cannot find any information regarding reporting a case to the police. I bet alot of forummers here is interested with all the procedures that we have to go through to report a case to the authority. Perhaps some people can shed some lights here and perhaps share their experience with everyone else?

Thanks in advance.

i lost my wallet,hp,bags and stuff before

just go to the nearest police station, tell them u wanna make a report.

then u told them what happen, 5WH questions that sort of stuff
then he'll be typing and after he's finished, he'll show u the report.

if there is no amendment need to be made, then he'll print it out and u sign it

is this the type of reply that u want?

Thanks for the input. biggrin.gif Do we have to pay the police anything? Like some sort of a processing fee? I am trying to file a report on a fraud case.

In the case of lost items (cars, motorcycles), just go to the police station and say that you want to make a report.

The officer will then ask for information such as estimated time you lost the item, type of vehicles, plate number, and some other information while they type it in the computer.

Then the officer will show the screen monitor to u, so u can read the report. U don't need to compose any sentences or stories as they will do it, and then show it to u. U just need to verify each sentence and details. If there are anything incorrect, ask them for correction.

Then the officer will print out the report and you need to give it to their superior (if i'm not mistaken) or somebody that is in charge of something. I'm not really sure who u'll meet, but in my case i met an inspector.

He will verify (i'm not sure) the report, and then he will give u the copy of the report. That's all!!!

P.s : U need to have a photocopy of ur IC when u meet the inspector. Make sure that u have one in ur wallet (reminder to myself too).
