guys I am wondering. I have this VGA cable for my PS3 on a 17" 4:6 lcd mon: http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-01-49-en-70-2jp6.htmlcan't say that I'm satisfied with the results, as it only supports Ps3 and Wii, which caused me to purchase another BOX for my PS2. Besides, it stretches the picture when I set it to 720p. Unlike Xbox360, which fits the whole widescreen into the monitor, leaving black sections on both top and bottom. That's what I want , not some stretched graphics! What about the VGA BOX 2198P? What's the distinction between this box and the cable? thanks This post has been edited by YunaX: Jul 7 2009, 11:33 AM

QUOTE(gundamalpha @ Jul 7 2009, 12:19 PM) If you only asked before you buy.. that cable stinks. It converts 480p/720p/1080p component signal to RGB signal and nothing else. The conversion is done pretty bad. so what should I get? The VGA BOX 2198P? still available?

QUOTE(gundamalpha @ Jul 7 2009, 12:39 PM) I'm not sure about the VGA box you are talking about. But there's a VGA box from PA that does a decent job converting/upscaling/rescaling priced at $69.90 (or $79.90?). And you can get a cheaper one from SCE in BTS (if they still have it) called HD Box Pro which uses the same chip as the one selling in PA, in fact that's the real thing and PA one is a clone. you mean this one? http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-86-49-...ox-70-2tw6.htmlbtw, the box i mentioned is this:

i wonder why the anti-aliasing is almost NONE when i switch to 576p...
it's like the graphic is much rougher compared to 720p, which causes the display to squeeze in my 4:6 monitor...
567p scale perfectly in my monitor, but visually downgraded... any idea how to fix this?
