You'll need either a VGA box or video capture card for your PC (but this will mean having the PS2 go through your computer and then to the LCD).

A couple of VGA box options:

search.ebay.com.au/searc...A+box&category0=
> cgi.ebay.com.au/High-Res...Z1QQcmdZViewItem

www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.4833
Try and find a VGA box that supports the native resolution of your monitor.

Got a HDMI cable and run the game on 1080p. Playing Dead space 2 o clock in the morning has never been this scarier....

I guess it's just the looks of the cable makes it pricy.

I saw the smallest HD LCD recently. The Sony 22" LCD HDTV. The quality looks realy good.. but the price is quite ridiculous too.. abt RM2499. With this Price can actually buy a 32" HDTV.

Depends where your friend intends to place it.

If it is in a dedicated TV room with no external light source, get the Panny, as Plasmas have a wider color gamut.

If it is in a living room or some room with a light source, get the Samsung, as LCDs reflect less.

If your friend is environment-conscious, get the Samsung as LCDs use less power.

If in a small room, get the Samsung, as Plasmas radiate more heat.

I'm not sure, but most of Panasonic's current lineup are Plasmas.

Also, 37" is an unusual size on both Plasma and LCD, while 40" is fast becoming the industry standard (since 40" TVs sell very well due to modern living room sizes), so repairing a 37" will definitely be more difficult to repair in the near future.
