ps3 are strictly only accept for DVI to HDMI only (PC LCD Monitor)

I think you have to "share" the connectivity with your PC. instead of the VGA.. (unless your pc use VGA as well)

Your monitor has DVI and VGA input right? You need to get a HDMI (PS3) to DVI (LCD) converter to play the PS3.

Meaning you can use only DVI port for your PS3 with HDMI to DVI cable. To avoid plug in, plug out situation to switch input between your PC and PS3 on your LCD monitor, maybe you can change your PC output from DVI to VGA port (If you don't mind smile.gif ).

If you're having the same 22inch Samsung LCD as me, you can plug 2 different devices to your monitor simultaneously, so since PS3 plugs to DVI, just plug your Xbox to the VGA and the PS3 to the DVI port, and theres a button on the monitor itself that switches between the 2. Downside is you cant plug to your computer this way as there's no more slots.

Hi yhanlee bro ,

what they say is you can't connect 360 , ps3 and pc at the same time because your lcd probably had 1 DVI and 1 VGA input only .

So it's either 360(VGA) - PS3(DVI through adapter) , or 360(VGA) - PC(DVI) , or PC(VGA) - PS3(DVI) , or PC(DVI)- 360(VGA)

Simply said , by the current method , 360 must occupy the VGA port and PS3 occupy DVI port . So you have to interchange the cable if you wanna use PC , which is quite tedious as you need to plug in-out the cable everytime you wanna use the PC .

There might be other method though but that's beyond me . blush.gif

BTW , when you use HDMI -> DVI adapter , the audio will lost because DVI doesn't carries audio signal like HDMI does . So what you can do is using the conventional yellow/red/white cable , and use the red/white cable for audio only , or if you have speaker that support digital input , then use the digital output from ps3 .

If all fail , visit GH la , see how they plug their ps3 tongue.gif

Most game shops will carry this item.

He can always go for a VGA splitter to avoid plugging in and out. Then PC and 360 goes to splitter, splitter goes to VGA port on the LCD Monitor. Then PS3 goes to DVI port.

There is a thing calls KVM switch.... you can plug several VGA connection to it and switch between them. I got a two ports KVM switch. 1 side connects to LCD monitor, 1 side connects 360 and the other connects PC. Just press a button to switch between the signal.
