No, not true. Tiger/Leopard can run Boot Camp, provided that your machine is Intel Based. Only PPC can't run Boot Camp.

OK here's the real deal. You cannot run the Boot Camp Assistant in Tiger (10.4) anymore. It is the tool that you use to repartition your drive without having to reinstall etc. However, if you already have a Boot Camp partition, that will continue to work without problems. I'm not sure about the Windows drivers under Tiger and if (how?) they can limit it to Leopard installations only.

If you still want Boot Camp, the beta disk image is floating around Apple's website someplace. You need it for the Windows drivers. To repartition your drive, there are command line tools that will achieve what the GUI did before.

So in essence they're not taking the hardware capability away, it's built into your Mac so they can't turn that off. They're just expiring the tools that make it easy for you to start.

beta disk is not there surfing in apple website for half and hour cant find , haiz now i gotta spend and upgrade to leopard .. thx for yr time

i got it b4 dat , i dunno that i cant dld boot camp anymore so i gv mac city to help me reformat everything ..
