all i know, when s6IS come out, you'll be hoping for another upgrade over and over again.

while some are busy testing new lenses on their 400d.

2 cents. no offence. i'd go for 400d if i were u.

The choice differs from every different person. Some prefer user-friendly and small/light cameras. Some prefer the sophistication in DSLR. Be reminded that you will be spending more money on lenses, flash and other accessories while the S5 IS is a ready-to-use camera.

I own a S3 IS. If I have the chance to choose again, I will go for 350D/400D. Again, this is solely my choice. wink.gif

I played too much with Canon 40D that day. Poisoned from head to toe. Even the shutter sound sounds so great, compared to the synthesized shutter sound in non-DSLR cameras. laugh.gif

Check out the following thread, the difference between S5 and DSLR might be closer than you think:

http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/readflat...26042534&page=1

And also this one. It seems many have chosen to downgrade from DSLR due to various reasons:

it's using the one on the left la. SD card.

my S7000 has xD slot though, but definitely not on the C2-Zoom.

edited : when i used AFAIK earlier, i mean AFAIK the name is SD la. Secure Digital. biggrin.gif but I'm sure it's using that big flat type as seen on left of the pic.
