Just watched Nodame Cantabile SP ep1!
I am so amazed at how SPs can capture the essence of the previous drama and there is just so much feel in it.
Its a rare occasion that SPs feel so great

Just manage to catch Bara no nai Hanaya 1st episode
The plot was simple enough but it can get very thick too which i am expecting to happen in the future episodes.
Still, my first impression of this drama is that the ending theme is nice
Great cast, a great story, nice music background & Takeuchi Yuko. What else is missing eh?!
Btw, is the drama the highest rated drama of the season?

Finally reach my 1st milestone for the previous season drama with Bara no nai Hanaya. Overall really good drama and the ending was satisfactory even though much more can be expressed rather just awkwardly ending it.
Cast is superb, i personally love the actress acting as Ono-sensei in the drama. Cant remember her name but she acted as the main actress in Himitsu no Hanazono.

Fully agree with the ratings as the highest rated drama for the season even though i havent watched the others yet

Just finished watching the first episode of Last Friends, thanks to Kioku-Fansubs for subbing it.
And here goes my review just for that particular episode only as i dont really know how the story goes after that.

Last Friends has a really wide range of fantastic actors and actresses.
The drama has Ueno Juri, Eita, and Mizukawa Asami who have previously starred in Nodame Cantabile.
Nagasawa Masami from Proposal Daisakusen and Nishikido Ryo from 1 Liter of Tears.
Put them together and you get a really variety of mixed personalities in it, which might be what the drama is focusing on.

Back to the story, it was a real bummer at start but everything changes so rapidly that before you know it you got a heck of confusion and thinking real hard at what is going to happen next.
As the name sounds, it is Last Friends and it is all about friendship and the first episode really shows the progress and direction of the storyline towards it.

Then we have Utada Hikaru's Prisoner of Love song in the drama.
Great song overall, nice lyrics and it kinda suit the drama pretty well mixing the love and friendship thing into it.

Without spoiling too much i conclude my short review and it is kind of hard to give a rating of it but so far it got a little of my attention and till now what i am looking forward is Ueno Juri's image in the drama. The tomboy-ish kind of look which is totally different from Nodame Cantabile.

Have some free time and so i decided to write another short review of one of the current season dramas.
And this time it would be,



First of all, let's start off with the cast of the drama.
Namely we have Amami Yuki who have previously acted in Top Caster. Great actress overall and as the title goes, she plays the main character of the drama and yes she is around 40
Believe it or not, she plays her role perfectly. Of course her real age makes a difference, but then during funny and critical hours, her expression of the situation fits nicely into it.
Then we have Fujiki Naohito (Proposal Daisakusen as Tada-san). His history in the acting field says it all. So i can save some letters on him.

The story is pretty boring as you can see it is duh! about a woman around 40 years old trying to find love. It is actually quite similar to Kekkon Dekinai Otoko minus a bit humor part and put in some serious emotions into it.
However if you are looking for a drama that depicts the real life situation of a person like that, then this is a perfect drama for you. Everything inside the drama is facts about woman around 40.
And if you are one of them, the more reason you should catch the drama.
I myself find it acceptable at the moment (episode 2 now) and will be continuing to watch it, as it really open my mind to real life society situations.

My attendance here have been on a hiatus for a long time, when was my last post here i wonder

Anyway, I just started to catch back on some Jdoramas and at this hour exactly, i finished watching the 1st episode of Buzzer Beat. The hugely acclaimed dorama of the season (at least i think it is), starring every girls' heat-throb Yamapi and every boy's dream girl, Kitagawa Keiko.

Following is my review of the dorama (please be reminded that i have just watched the 1st episode and the following only contain perception obtained from that particular episode only) :

First off, as the name of the dorama sounds, Buzzer Beat is actually a situation in basketball when a shot is made just before the timer runs out. So you can say the dorama is related to basketball. I am in total agreement but then the sport is just half of the essence in it. From what i have seen, the story is directed towards a basketball player's life in Japan and the various relationships that evolves around him.

So for those who have no love for the sports or no knowledge or whatsoever, this dorama suits all audiences

Next i would like to direct towards Yamapi and Kitagawa Keiko. Two of them or any of them is already a reason enough to watch this series. I am sure you regulars here agree with me . Yamapi retains his usual coolness as shown in Kurosagi but also shown a huge leap in maturity in his acting. Maybe his character is around the young adult age and the characteristics just slightly makes him look otherwise, which then gave us the Yamapi look

Kitagawa Keiko on the other hand is just way too cute to be described. She depicts a music student which seems to be pretty conceited with oneself but in a sense, not. Reading back, i dont really understand it myself but it is the best that i can describe her in it. Lovely lovely acttress i daresay. You guys must be thinking i am infatuated with her I admit i am. Come on, one normal male human being doesnt, something is wrong.

And not forgetting those basketball enthusiasts like myself watching the show, you will feel like "i've seen better" and i understand that Yamapi's basketball moves and all the other actors were just acted up. Pretty sure Yamapi has to do some training beforehand for the show but his moves are just way too slow and out of direction. I hereby declare to challenge Yamapi to a 1 on 1 match

Overall, i really think this dorama is not bad but i really have to watch the other few episodes to convince myself that this is going to be one of the better doramas that i have ever watched.

Rating for 1st episode and initial impression, 7/10.

As much as i like the drama i do feel a little infuriated by the poor acting. Like what bro broken said, damn "kayu"

I am not really sure about more basketball action.
Yamapi doing a half-assed turn around shot gave me a light giggle.
However, missing out Kawasaki in action on the court when he tried to rival Naoki also gave me a turn off.
Guess i cannot be asking too much...
