i thot it was 0.42% for internet order, min RM28?

QUOTE(klaw @ Mar 14 2009, 01:10 AM)
Just to share my experience with an online service I am using: www.apexetrade.com

General Info:
1. Nominee account
2. Using the web-based solution provided by N2NConnect (which seems to be the same software being used by Cimb, based on some user's screenshots)
3. Software is Java-based, but shouldn't be a problem for broadband users.
4. Settlement of funds via Maybank2u or Pbebank.
5. Like most online trading accounts, the balance you have (if you have any) earns a little bit of interest (not sure what the rate is).

What I Like:
1. Software features quite comprehensive. Can look at detailed stock info, stock price/volume history, charts, candlesticks, etc.
2. When buying stock, shows you the breakeven price (after factoring in brokerage+stamp duty+that 0.03%)
3. Shows you your portfolio and its performance.
4. Trading generally takes only a few minutes to enter Bursa's system from when I confirm my trade details.
5. Uptime of the site is 24 hours, and I have rarely encountered any outage. Actually I never, but I'm not on there 24 hours a day, am I? tongue.gif (I shudder to think of how Maybank2u users execute their trades after 12am when Maybank is 'refreshing' their system)
6. Trades outside of trading hours can be placed anytime of the day, to be queued at Bursa before trading opens. Some online systems don't allow this or they have time restrictions on when you can place trades.
7. Easy to make changes/cancel submitted trades (as long as the trade has not been executed yet, of course).
8. Each user is linked to a dealer/representative. The built-in messaging system allows you to message the dealer with any queries. My experience of this is that my queries have always been answered promptly, and always within the day.
9. Create multiple watch lists for you to manage stocks that you're interested in, so that you don't have to filter for that stock everytime.
10. Shows you your realised gains/losses over history, so that you know how well your previous trades have performed.

What I Don't Like:
1. Stock filtering needs a little getting used to. But I rarely use this since I always add stocks to my watch list.
2. The 0.7% brokerage fee (RM28 minimum applies)
3. The 0.7% brokerage fee (RM28 minimum applies)
4. The 0.7% brokerage fee (RM28 minimum applies)
5. Ok, I think you get the point.

BTW,I am not a staff of any stockbroking house.

From the information given by pchan;

I trade online all the time and in active market, I prefer to day trade. I saw on JF Apex webpage that for online trading, the minimum brokerage is RM12.

Lets do some mathematic calculations if I were to subscribe to their incentives of rebates in the form of netbook/notebook ;

RM2688 divided by RM12, I would need to perform 224 transactions.

But I believe I would do more than that in 6 months.

Then after I achieved the 224 transactions which the minimum is RM12, JF Apex would rebates me back my RM1200.

If we minus the RM1200 from the RM2688, the amount would be RM1488.

Then you divide the RM1488 with 224 transactions, the minimum brokerage of each transaction is RM6.64.

ECM Libra is RM12 minimum per transaction but this one would be RM6.64. Plus the netbook/notebook comes with Broadband which I think many new netbook or notebook user would like.

usually bank's trading account is under nominee service, it attached to investment bank's license n trade thru investment banks platform. (like CIMB attached to CIMB Investment bank) that is a cost saving way to widen the bank's services.

do u know wat is da bad thg from nominee acc? u wont rec free gift or free voucher from the counters u own. n u cant buy IPO if the trading house is not offering it. bad thgs. gd thgs? save time to do all da div, right issues, online trasfer money from saving to trading account n u can settle all ur bank matter in a bank.

just open an account at Jupiter today!
what i like about Jupiter compared to Maybank (my current trading acc)

1) lower my cost as much as twice!
2) Can open online trading and idle for few hours. currently maybank only allow idle for 5 minute before auto log off. i hate this since sometime when i doing my work it take more than 5 minute and i need to log in back
