Beside brokage fee which takes large percentage on the extra amount (apart from the amount you paid for matched share), you need to pay for stamp duty and clearing fee:

2. Clearing Fee: 0.03% of Contract Value subject to a maximum fee of RM1,000
3. Stamp Duty: RM1 for every RM1,000 subject to a maximum fee of RM200
*
So minimum purchase should be RM1000? If below RM1000, how much should b paid for for clearing fee and stamp duty?

Yes, but if you are can talk nicely and have a good conversation with them, some dealer will exclude the payment... I manage to do that before .. tongue.gif~

For your example of 1000 share @ 0.20:

Purchase of matched share: RM 200
Brokage fee @ 0.7%: RM 28 min
Clearing fee: RM 0.06
Stamp duty: RM 1

TOTAL: RM 229.06

To breakeven, you need to sell at the price of 0.258.

You can use the calculator: http://www.einvest.com.my/nettrade/forum/frm_Calcstk.asp?

Margin account should be referring to quick access for financing in trading.

If I want to buy stocks, and pay with my own money, which one do I goto? margin or non margin?? Can anyone define both terms please?

Own money of cource is non margin account.
Margin account mean FI allows you to trade 2X or 3X of your collateral in the form of shares, cash or FD. They charge base on BLR+% on your trade amounts. In the case you hit "margin call" when mkt turn south, you will need to top up more collateral else they will force sell.

Hello, to all trading lovers, have you guys ever wonder about the comparison on the internet trading brokerage among the broking house. As this morning when i was reading the financial daily, I saw this big ads about CIMB offering Zero brokerage till 8th March 2009. What will all the traders look at when it come to brokerage. Any more PO offering even better rate?
