guys... i am interested buying into us stock and i am attracted to the low commission fee that provided by online brokers...

i did contacted with the local broker which can provide buying US stock services but it is about 0.7% .... and i felt it is quite expensive but relatively safety than buying stock through online...

so my question is when we buy stock thru online broker... is that possible that the website brankrupt and we lose all our money that we put into thier website.... this is what am i worrying the most...

can some1 give some comments?? Thx

guys, i have a question based on the experience that i encounter last time when i registered for Zecco trading.

I am a fresh graduate and my annual income is lower than the minimum requirement that are needed. Minimum requirement is US$25k if i am not mistaken.

I have rm60k to invest which are supported by my parents but i couldn't successfully registered an online broking account as they need me to show my annual income proof.

Can any1 tell me how to solve that issue??

Just now i registered to MB trading as recommended by Norman TE, the minimum requirement is 50k annual income.. Holy Shit. I believe they will ask me to provide annual income proof again to avoid money laundering.

Some1 please help because i was just realised that the OSK investment are charging for 0.6% commission per sale and buy order... I thought that the commission were charged for buy order only.. Damn...

Help... Thank you

may i know how to include my Firstrade Account Name & Firstrade Account no. into the TT form as i went to Hong Leong Bank just now and the officer told me that the TT form provided by them cannot include my Firstrade account no. and Firstrade Account Name.

Therefore i still unable to TT the money yet.
Pls Help...

Below is what required by the Firstrade:

*Important: When wiring funds from your bank into your Firstrade account, the wire must include your Firstrade account number and account name. If your account number and name are not on the wire, Ridge Clearing cannot accept the wire.

i prefer to buy a mutual fund rather than own 50 different stocks, seem like a bit pointless to hold that much counters.

No hard feeling, just share of my mind only.

i suggest to use Firstrade.
Quick , cheap , reliable and not hassle as other broker need this need that.
Some broker need you to show your income slip, tax statement and bla bla bla.

Firstrade just need your passport, registration form and W8-ex form.

Seem like many people are interested in US stock market .

I have 7 us stock in my hand now and below is my purchase price.

GE- 10.38
C- 3.07
X- 36.50
COP - 41.50
GGB - 10.30
PBR - 36

and the latest stock that i bought is S last month.
Call Option on Jan11 exercise price $7.5.

What i suggest is long-term investing and on one can predict short-term movement of a stock. Just be confident in the stock you bought provided that you have do your homework.

Recently i am looking to invest very minor portion of money to CIT (not citibank). And wonder if the company will brankrupt a not.

Anyone watching that stock and any comment on it??
