Hi all there.....I am not sure if this thread purely on ~ Investing in US stocks, Does anyone know how? ~ Or it can expand to include NYSE - What stocks can trade recently? I recently opened a US trading account and now my $$ sit there do nothing (except get small interest) because I have no idea what are good stocks now. Everything going up and I spend my days look at KLSE, but not NYSE. I guess I am looking for a website that shows good dividend yield US stocks, because I am into it for the long haul. I need somewhere to start, so if there are any sifus out there, can share your knowledge? Thanks!

QUOTE(smartly @ Jun 22 2009, 04:17 PM) may i know, what is the stock code for BAC? BAC Added on June 22, 2009, 4:20 pmQUOTE(dreamer101 @ Jun 22 2009, 11:31 AM) syong, VTI is the 2000 largest stock in USA. VEU is the 2000 largest stocks outside of USA. They are ETF. So, you buy them like any other stocks except they each represent 2000 stocks. The minimum purchase is one share. But, to save commission, you should at least buy USD 1K worth of them. When you buy VTI and VEU, you had covered the whole world. Dreamer Dreamer....Are these two under Vanguard? This post has been edited by VyvernS: Jun 22 2009, 04:20 PM
