so why if Citigroup gets nationalized (which they already have?) , that the share will become next to nothing? I am thinking of getting them ,it's already back up to 1.78USD per share now
Investing in US stocks, Does anyone know how?

Ya well...that's also one thing with investing in foreign stock, currency becomes a factor.
Anyone registered with zecco??? I faxed through everything in it, with the W8-Ben form, part 2, which one applies to a foreigner living in malaysia? Didn't the US government promised that citigroup will nver be nationalized???? What will be the factor if that happens? This post has been edited by T_flash: Mar 17 2009, 02:35 PM |

So the W8-ben form, Part 2, what do I tick to avoid having 30% withholding tax on capital gains????
I don't want to invest in the states while risking to only sell above 30% gain. I'm an Australian working here in Malaysia. Since I work here, I reside here for tax purpose right?? I do'nt have to pay tax to Australia if I don't have any local income there i suppose This post has been edited by T_flash: Mar 17 2009, 03:37 PM |

Ok. I suppose it's ok for me to invest there then.
CIMB charges too many different fees, otherwise I will just buy through my own cross border account. Would anyone take a bet in the citigroup stock??? |

I think so, as far as my experience with Zecco, they won't do anything until everything's there

How long did it take to get your Optionxpress??? I applied with zecco, it was like endless trouble during the application. And it's now been 5 business days, and I still haven't got my account yet

Hi Zamans,
do you use mbtrading??? is it any good?? Guys, I have opened up zecco trading account months ago, but haven't wired any money over yet... I have been reading recently regarding zecco being slow on getting everything done , which is what I went through with opening my account..apparently, withdrawing money from them is also a pain. What do you guys use??? And when you wire money over to US, is it just an easy TT, then money is in??? how about withdraw money from your trading account back to Malaysia???How is it done???? |

What do you guys use to buy US stocks???
I have both iTrade cross border account, and Zecco. I was wondering which one should I opt for...??? I am abit concern about funding money to Zecco, and withdraw, since everything's oversea, is it safe??? With iTrade, I know their headquarter is in Singapore, does that mean my money will be changed to SGD and then USD??? In general, iTrade cross border, is the cost higher than online broker??? |
