Just my opinion.
If you wan oc, you need a lot of stuffs.

1st: You will need a decent cooler.
2nd: You will need a good ram and mobo. Ram speed slow performance drop. Mobo just go for Biostar TA690G.

3rd: You will need a good PSU for overclocking and support 3870.
These are all i can think of. Bottleneck or not for this combination not sure

It will be hard for a brisbane to compete with a 6000 even at 3.0Ghz, but maybe with a 5600. The problem is that brisbane is at a 0.1Ghz disadvantage due to cache latency, and also those 2 processors have 1mbx2 cache while brisbane only has 512kbx2. Clocked 0.2Ghz higher than the 5600, brisbane might just pull up even with it.

hoho.. brisbane is quite a good choice for a budget user. My advise is, try find a good RAM bro. I dont think brisby(even at 2.8Ghz) will bottleneck your GC watsoever. Even you can hit 3.0Ghz stable if you're lucky enuf. And the best part is, it's only rm210.

Thank you for the reply.I had limited choice of hardware to get at my area.It doesn't have Biostar TA690G , just only Asus M2A-VM.Cooler ,Cooler master stuff including thermal paste. Not much I could get.
I just want a decent hardware which is better than P4 3.0Ghz and doesn't bottleneck with the current graphic card.Maybe getting a 3850 for normal gaming.
Just want to ask , an AMD x64 4000+ 2.1Ghz stock speed can win P4 3.0Ghz at lease 10% ?
Can I refer with this chart ?
http://www.cpubenchmark.net/ ? or maybe a better chart I can refer ?
