s963 using 9cm fan while s1283 using 12cm fan.
both also performed quite good. however s1283 should perform better and quite than s963 since it is using 12cm fan, maybe around 3 degree celcius. if i'm not mistaken, dblooi is using s963 too coz last time he did show us the picture and recommanded this cooler to me. u can refer to http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/535348/+300 post#305 maybe u can ask the seller whether the ur casing/mobo can fit s1283 or not... http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=483850&hl= This post has been edited by dreaming: Dec 31 2007, 12:15 AM |

i'm using MSI K9A2 CF and having the discrepency voltage reading like u. [attachmentid=377449] speedfan and everest show 10.21v only, really scared me however, voltage reading in bios and MSI Dual Core Center seem to be more realistic, 11.88v. |

@DevilMan,
as u know, the max cpu voltage available in bios is just 1.49v. so, i think this board is not suitable for exetreme oc until the new release bios support > 1.5v. currently i'm running: CPU 3.2ghz, 320 fsb, mutiple 10 @ 1.389v; RAM either 800Mhz, 4-4-4-12, (533 strap) or 1066Mhz, 5-5-5-15 (667 strap) @ 2.2v , HTT link x4 (1280Mhz) or x5 (1600Mhz) also no problem, NB and HTT voltage is using DEFAULT voltage. i did tried 3.3ghz and 3.4ghz before, but it need 1.49v. However, i notice that the pwm and mofset are DAMN HOT!! like boiling water... i guest this is the reason why they limit the max voltage at 1.49v. >1.5v might burn ur cpu and mobo IF WITHOUT PROPER COOLING FOR THAT AREA! |

@DevilMan,
who said 4x only? i'm MSI K9A2 CF user too. When u do CF at MSI K9A2 CF, it will run at 8x + 8x. i tried it before, 3870 + 3850 also no problem. catalyst 7.12 show me the correct info. http://global.msi.com.tw/index.php?func=pr...o=1&cat2_no=171 . When 2 PCI Express x16 slots are all installed, the PCIE x 16 lanes will auto arrange form x16/ x0 to x8/ x8. Do not use the light-blue slot when only one PCI Express x16 card is installed. |
