Anyone can explain why performance type RAM from OCZ sold at cheaper price at Lowyat, compared to other brand? kinda tempted at their price, but must tread cautiously so not rugi la buying lesser item..

Any recommendation of selecting good, yet affordable performance RAm so I can OC kaw2 on my proc?

disclaimer: I am not expert in term of RAM yet..

it would be better to give the ram model name and the price too.

Actually you can check the pricing by downloading PDF files from www.lowyat.net, respectively to shops listed at the website, such as Cycom, Czone and PCzone..

For example, OCZ listing as shown below:

OCZ Desktop Memory (Performance Series):

OCZ Gold 2G800GK DDR2 800 5-5-5-122x1GB220 RM220

OCZ Reaper HPC 800 2GB Kit (Heatpipe)4-4-4-152x1GB300 RM300

OCZ Nvidia SLI 800 2GB Kit EPP4-4-4-152x1GB RM300

Anyone own these OCZ?

However I am pondering DevilMan's saying.. Perhaps normal ballistic or crucual 10th is a better bargain.. moreover it's DG9 chipset (I'm not sure the spelling, sorry dude)

I've seen the OCZ reaper do some crazy overclocks..boy does that ram love voltage..2.6v is common, and some have even run it as high as 2.8-2.9v.

Oh btw, 1350 is a typical overclock for the reapers, as long as you're willing to pump the voltage (but still at a 'survivable' level). Timings can be fiendishly tight if you're willing to settle for a lower but still 1000+ overclock.

whoa bro lohwenli, mind if you could kindly let me know the links to these OC website, that show OCZ OCing result? notworthy.gif notworthy.gif

gentlemen , AMD 780G chipset mobo is coming soon brows.gif
according to biostar, the integrated gc performance is 3X better than 690G  drool.gif
support hybrid crossfire technology and DX10  drool.gif
Southbridge is using SB700  drool.gif ( Unlike Biostar TA770 that uses SB600. )

Good info. But personally I think solid capacitor is better for longevity = jangka hayat..

sure it's expensive buying mainboard with all or some solid capacitors soldered...

biostar wanna use for 3 years? ... i worry caps bomb wor.. hehe

Well, Biostar using solid capacitors around the CPU socket for lasting longer compared to aluminium electrolytic capacitors

In somewhat unrelated to AMD discussion here, I've seen an Intel Mainboard that use entirely solid capacitors. uhh that so expensive, but I know it can last longer.

OS-CON capacitor

I'm interested!

Anyway, depend on my budget and the time that you can bring these proc here.

Could you kindly let me know via PM to me, when you start bulking the F3 3800+ again? I think I should grab as soon as possible once you start the bulking.
