get a cheaper proc while waiting for K10 B3 stepping proc arrive,
after all K8 am2 proc is already outperformed by c2d these days.
maybe can get 4000+ G2 or what ,
can minimize the lost when next time u plan to migrate to K10 proc
of coz , 5000+ BE also a good choice

you're here in am2 oc section, for sure we will suggest u to get a low end proc and oc to higher speed
and overclock a G2 proc is not something hard ,
i'm sure u can do 3GHz or above oc easily and it won't bottleneck your game after OC

for gc, you can get HD3870 ,
maybe you will question me,
why don't get 8800GT? performance is better than HD3870
well.... yeah one HD3870 definitely lose to 8800GT,
but what about 2? 3? 4? (power of crossfireX)
and i'm sure you cannot do 3-way SLI for that 8800GT bcoz only 8800GTX or 8800Ultra support that
(you know the price of these 2 graphic giants rite? )
furthermore 8800GS is coming out soon,
certainly AMD will adjust the price for HD3870 and HD3850 again in near future.
btw, if you insist to get a 8800GT, please don't get that biostar

maybe can drop multi to 5, try to push the HTT kaw kaw,
see how far it can go

temp does affect the oc..
i have expierience with that.
With air cooling, vcore 1.61v , clock speed 3.7GHz and temperature 60C
Failed to boot into windows

With Iced water cooling, it works (exactly same settings, temp 17C)
After the ice melted , temp raise a bit to 30C,
same thing happen again, fail to boot into windows though the temp is only 30C

please don't just simply say something without evidence
i dunno what's wrong with you,

and can stick to 5x HT multiplier till end of the world

the one with integrated gc is 780G, my friend
it's coming soon , while the one that we are discussing here is TA770
you need an external gc in order to make it moves
about the S/PDIF, i think it's same as TA690G,
supported by using optional device. There's jumper there ready for S/PDIF cable

the 780i that u mentioned is nvidia chipset
bro, is time to get a AMD HD 3850/ 3870 gc
btw, the performance of TA770 still unconfirm ( at least to me )
so far what i know is vcore can add till 2.XXv ,
HT voltage 1.5XXv , NB/SB voltage 1.5xxv and vdimm 2.9v
The november bios seems to be very buggy ,
not sure about the latest bios...
looks like we need to invite those TA770 user to join the discussion

about the ram slots part,

you mean this mobo offering slot 1/3 for dual channel?

FYI, MSI mobo has their own way in forming dual channel mode.

some guys are seeking for stable overlock as they wanna use the OCed rig for 24/7.
