Very hard to comprehend like this. It's just too subjective. BTW, i rarely see people doing video conversions anyway. Even if they do, they do it during their sleep. So nobody cares about how fast it is, just make sure it is done before we wake up.

not only crucial. other ram will also behave like that... especially micron chips. why? because they feed too much current. not voltage...but current.

reduce the drivestrength that should reduce the risk.

high drivestrength = ram killer

but not all motherboard has drivestrength setting in the bios, so u have to use 3rd party tool like systool or something.

why it's always crucial? because everybody buy crucial... easy to find at garage/bulk section. tell me how many ppl bother to buy corsair or ocz nowadays

hi, eveyone,just bought a biostar TA690G mb.which bios is good for oc?is it the lastest is the best?i alr update to the leastest one,but my proc (x2 3600+ brisbane core)only can go up to 2.3GHz.n the multiple dun hav 9.5 alr. at the lastest bios got too many thing can change.dunno how la.b4 use abit kn9 sli also can oc till 2.8GHz ler.someone can guide me?>

there are some small issues for this mobo

1) cpu multiplier always change back to 9.5x after reboot for X2 3800+
2) inaccurate temperature and voltage reading in bios
3) boot up from bios damn slow ( it is noticeable
4) the HTT is a bit cacat . When i choose 300, it gave me 305 ; when i choose 318 , it gave me 316 pulak

however, i guess all these issues can be fixed through bios update.
let's hope for better bios from biostar 
edited: 5) the vdimm option don't have 2.8v  

tried bro ah_khoo's suggestion just now
instead of set the cpu multiplier manually , i leave it as 'auto'
problem solved, no more auto jump to 9.5 multiplier

OMG need help then! When i touch the HS in N/B it is hot.Around 50+ and even speedfan 4.33 shown it is 52 celcius. I running HT link 1333Mhz izit a possible this problem?
