my latest superPI is up.
I think this would be the best ever I can get without ice or subzero temp. Kinda headache to get that... Check it at the overclocking database. Have problem going >3555mhz I do hope other people join in also. This post has been edited by CV6149: Dec 31 2007, 12:33 PM |

The highest i tried is about 366htt.. this is just to tried tachlio setting which use the 9x multiplier... I do believe this board got more to offer also wait another sifu to come laaa mr ongbs |

QUOTE(-pWs- @ Jan 2 2008, 01:39 PM) for your case I think shud not be a problem.Since the heatsink fan does circulate the air around.Add 1 more fan 12cm for exhaust la bro...For wc guy, shud have some prob with it since no fan to give some air to pwm.... buy the small2 heatsink from Lelaman(cheap) in sales and use it on ur pwm. QUOTE(dblooi @ Jan 2 2008, 10:30 PM) maybe MSI's R&D is fully concentrate on intel platform development , no time for AMD whahhah thats damn good..1.8v even iced also no go eh db?anyway all the best to bro AoiNatsume , hope he solve the problem somehow. IMHO, if use water cooling + ice , most probably oc will stop at 1.7v ( Tried to pump 1.8vcore b4, cannot raise the clock speed also due to the temp ) 1.67v is around 1.7v .... shouldn't make a big gap *Please do not try this at home, folks* |

QUOTE(ongbs @ Jan 3 2008, 12:38 AM) sorry bro pws, me just free to online now woah..thanx for this info bro...will attach my screeny soon ... Added on January 3, 2008, 12:41 am PWS, seems like bro CV aldy answered yr question ya, if using WC becareful on the PWM side, especially when running orthos. If my memory serve me right, u told me b4 u RMA yr mobo twicw due to Orthos right? My DFI rig was busy running Orthos@ 3.4G, 1.575Vcore for whole afternoon... refer CPU-Z for my setting....will let u know why I added the heatsinks Pls refer to your mobo pic, I highlighted the PWM MOSFET where I attached my digital thermal probe. I am running WC, with my setting as shows by CPU-Z. (Ambient temp around 26C in air-cond room, my rig is put outside of casing, ventilation is better than opened case) All my PWM MOSFETs got small copper heatsinks on it, without top 120mm fan running, the Idling temp around 50C+. Once running orthos, around 10 mins later the MOSFETs temp will shoot up >90C. Keep in mind that PCB is quite good at heat transfer (due to the copper trace, especially on the packed PWM side, thicker trace found due to high current load) Those 90C+ heat will transfer to surrounding components (mostly via convection I believe), so think by yourself what is the CAPs temp look like? At this time those heatsinks I stuck on top of CAPs, temp >65C cos I can't even rest my hand on it >10 sec!!! Well, I think it is time to turn on my 120mm fans on top of PWM circuit.... Within 1 min my temp measuring point drop to <60C Those heatsinks on top of CAPs <40C. So conclusion is I will never run orthos test >1hr without extra cooling Although those electrolyte CAPs are designed to stand around 100C, judge your self will the lifespan of mobo drop without extra cooling? Heatsinks might not be necessary but extra fan to me is a MUST when running Orthos >1hr. Hmm...time to stop my Orthos now and check how is the temp look like After 2 mins the temp measured below 40C with the 120mm fan running I treated my mobo nicely with extra cooling since Socket A platform and me used > 4 mobos for the last 5 yrs (3 mobo were Abit NF7-S V2.0). 2 of the NF7 kong due to stupid lighting kissed my mobo via LAN/ phone line. The other mobos still working till recently I sold it off) OK, time to surf Garage Sales..... I will heed your advise and add a fan blow to pwm.Oh..its me rma 3 time DFI...dunno why |

QUOTE(ah_khoo @ Jan 5 2008, 09:22 PM) new updates... mine is 1.325v...stable in orthos but not 24h any comment guys? how much voltage u guys pumped in order to be prime stable @ 3.2GHz? i think my chip not so impressive, 3.2GHz need quite high voltage, so at d moment i'll just focus on bringin down d voltage by burn in d chip... QUOTE(jy14 @ Jan 7 2008, 03:43 PM) Hi guys, wahhh...Seriously cant use and no warranty....feel sad about it...I just setup the F3 with the DFI NF Ultra M2 yesterday with D9gmh 512x2. Can I know is the stock bios good to use to oc it ? I set the vcore to "default" and 1.8V for the ram, DDR533, 250 x 10, FSB ratio 4, no prob to boot up to 2.5GHz, 1000 HT and 625MHz for ram at 4-4-4-12-1T. But, if i go above 250fsb, it can't boot up even though i change the fsb ratio to x3. Need more vcore ? May I know whats the default value ? Should i set to 1.200V or higher ? Bro -pws- and CV6149: same board as u guys, what to do next to get 3.1ghz ? Using TT V1, temp in Everest is 33C on each core. CV6149: this is the burnt mobo lo, hehehe, manage to replace the diode. Testing it out b4 try out on the abit NF-M2 nView. Please help to guide noob guys. Will upload SS tonite, its at home now. idling. thanx alot john..your world class seller laaa.. try this setting... vcore=1.325v htt=320 multiplier=10x htl=4x vdimm=2.3v divider=533 or 667(depend on ram) make sure the floppy molex inserted to the mobo... above setting shud get you a good 3.2g semi stable Added on January 8, 2008, 7:02 pmOMG the new DFI rock!! Im speechless...Check out the superpi speed at 3580ghz is it because the L2 cache bigger? 1mb vs 512kb This post has been edited by CV6149: Jan 8 2008, 07:18 PM |

QUOTE(soulfly @ Jan 15 2008, 12:10 PM) yes...the V1 and V2 bulk is test by hand 1 by 1 by the supplier. That is why the guarantee is there.. I guess the 'not good' part maybe a chip that unable to clock higher with low voltage as compare to previous bulk gems. Stilll can be clock higher but with higher voltage.
