QUOTE(alive88 @ Jan 17 2008, 09:08 AM) so bro db, ta770 is indeed a good board rite? there are some small issues for this moboive spent 160 for tuniq tower..whohuuu... now want to sell my mobo.. rite now my pc is slow bcoz of my ram..not enuf juice 1) cpu multiplier always change back to 9.5x after reboot for X2 3800+ 2) inaccurate temperature and voltage reading in bios 3) boot up from bios damn slow ( it is noticeable 4) the HTT is a bit cacat . When i choose 300, it gave me 305 ; when i choose 318 , it gave me 316 pulak however, i guess all these issues can be fixed through bios update. let's hope for better bios from biostar edited: 5) the vdimm option don't have 2.8v This post has been edited by dblooi: Jan 17 2008, 10:14 AM |

QUOTE(xixo_12 @ Jan 17 2008, 10:17 AM) not too sure, if 2.7v cannot bring my crucial 10th to 1333MHz , then 2.8v is a must adi announcement of today's activities 1) Going to overclock the HT link. Some people claim that HT link too high can damage the hardisk and proc. Let's see it is true or not 2) Looking for suitable software for overclocking in windows on this mobo. Clockgen ? setfsb ? Biostar oc tool II ? or AMD overdrive ? Any other suggestion let me know ok? |

QUOTE(dblooi @ Jan 17 2008, 09:52 AM) there are some small issues for this mobo what bout if u set it to auto instead of manually assign the cpu multi? this happened to me even on ta690g with latest bios. the diff is i only got 9.5x multi in d list, but when i set it to auto, cpu-z detected d speed correctly... 1) cpu multiplier always change back to 9.5x after reboot for X2 3800+ 2) inaccurate temperature and voltage reading in bios 3) boot up from bios damn slow ( it is noticeable 4) the HTT is a bit cacat . hey bro DB, the AMD OVerdrive which u download cannot be used with the 7xx chipset. You have to use the beta version, ill send it to you via MSN tonight as ive forgotten where ive downloaded it from.
I notice alot of issues using the 790FX chipset as well. But none of them are like yours... my main issue now is only very low max vcore (1.47) the max i can push is only 3.4Ghz now able to pass prime 6 hours, and as for vdimm, i can go up to 3.2v. ANother issue would be the ram timing, there is a problem with the TRAS and TRC, no matter what i set in bios, once booted in windows it always shows 18. both of them shows 18 clock. Beside this 2 problem, ive got no other complaints, the K9A2 Platinum is indeed a great board. Btw bro, whats your max vcore on that board? |

Will try beta version tonight I notice alot of issues using the 790FX chipset as well. Btw bro, whats your max vcore on that board? anyway thanks luckily the trc and TRAS can change in windows by using memset or other programs. So it shouldn't be a big problem my max vcore? check this out no voltage drop for this mobo, basically you will only get higher vcore than what u actually set |
