bro db,
ur highest oc is 3.7ghz right?
this board can bring ur proc beyond previos level or not?

My highest stable oc is 3.8GHz
unstable one , 3.99GHz
hmm... actually i have my own way to define a good overclock mobo
a good oc mobo to me must meet these requirements:
1) HTT/ HT link highly overclockable
2) 'More than enough' for Vcore & Vdimm options
3) Those important ram timings & sub-timings must be available
4) bug-free bios ( things like TF6100-am2 cannot use 667 divider consider as bios bug)
5) OC Software such as clockgen or setfsb supported. This is important for validation
(actually not true to say like that , suppose it should be the software support that particular hardware. But i assume that u guys get what i mean here

)
6) CMOS reload function must be available. This function is extremely useful when come to extreme overclocking
7) Maybe there are more but i cannot recall it now, will add in when i remember
For TA690G & TA770 comparison,
TA690G Pros
1) Powerful bios boot up ( Dunno how to explain this

, what i meant is after set 400HTT in bios still bootable)
2) HT link is very overclockable
3) clockgen supported ( however, you need to know how to setup properly)
4) Suitable for extreme overclocking
Cons
1) Not enough vdimm?

( i know 2.6vdimm actually is quite high already

)
2) Driver for the chipset and integrated gc are kinda unstable to me, need proper installation
3) Voltage drop ( For vcore actually i think it's good, can save electricity mar

)
TA770 Pros
1) Enriched with PCIE 2.0 , HT5.2 , ESATA ...blar blar blar
2) max vdimm 2.9v

( But i still dare to not use that high

)
3) Endless HT Link oc
4) No voltage drop
Cons
1) Currently no oc software supported

( Will test everything again one last time for 100% confirmation )
2) Buggy bios need to be fixed ( Gambateh, biostar bios programmer

)
3) The HTT is not so overclockable for my 1st trial on it ( Stucked at 380HTT. Not sure why. Will verify it again some other day. Temporarily add this to cons 1st

)
For time being, i would say that TA690G is better overclocker.
Let's see after bios update in near future, TA770 can become a fierce beast or not
