QUOTE(David83 @ Dec 18 2007, 09:54 AM) PFEPRF doesn't perform that great and PB still wants to go into REIT. As long as people are going to buy, they will keep on launching new fund. More funds more $$ profit. Profit 5.5%-6.5% on each single RM sold. Property and Reit are performing very very well for the last 2-3 years, thanks to the property boom in US and UK. But this become history recently. As recent turmoil in credit market and housing bubble burst had made plenty of Reit and property stocks plunging down significant from its historical high.

QUOTE(Assassin @ Dec 28 2007, 11:01 PM) Well, REIT is a balance fund, i dont see much profit from this fund. i think this fund will perform average due to potential in property sector Reit is not a balanced fund. Balanced fund generally refer as fund that consist of both equities and bonds in a porportion ratio. Reit is different class, it is not pure equities nor a bond. Reit pricing is highly depended on properties market condition. It will perform very well in a property boom time, but quite poor in property slump time.
