HELP! rclxub.gif

As per the title, my harddisk a WD80g has broken down and has clicking sound. I tried plugging it into another pc to retrieve files, but it doesn't work. I have been advised to go to a "specialist" to help me retrieve this file. I also heard someone say, to put it in the freezer and then try to boot up and take out as much files as possible.

Does anyone have any suggeestions or can help me with this file retrieval? Will be willing to pay some money, but not too much!

THANKS! thumbup.gif

clicking sound from HDD is very bad.

1. can the HDD be identified inside BIOS? if not skip to end
2. if yes, what do you mean "doesn't work"? can see the HDD in windows or not? if cannot see skip to end.
3. if yes, can you open HDD and see files? if no, skip to end.

end: the end of your HDD.

to recover by pro recovery is very expensive. some charge by bytes or megabytes.

if you intend to pay lots of $$$, stop what you are doing with the HDD and look for pro.
