Hello.

I'm using a Ethernet modem and a wireless router. The home PC can connect via LAN no problem at all. But I can't seem to connect to Airport from my iBook via the wireless router. Tried connecting the cable from my PC to the Mac but still no use.

I'm not very good with the MAC OS as this is my girlfriend's laptop. If anyone knows how to fix the problem please do explain in very layman terms.

Each time I open up the Safari it says "Server not found", but when I connect the Airport, I get full bar of connection. Frustrating!

Thanks a bunch! smile.gif

if your wireless router providing dhcp ip address then you should use dhcp

System Preferences\Network\AirPort\TCP/IP\Configure IPv4 --> Using DHCP

don't use Manually

hope this will help !
