I only realised this section of LYN recently (I know, it's late... blush.gif but well, LYN is so HUGE!) and I think it's really cool to share our photos among forummers. So I'm setting up my lil gallery to share my photos with you guys. Basically I take photos as a hobby and an interest, whenever there's an interesting shot to take, be it a subject, location or experiments, I'd be there with my camera hoping to get a good shot laugh.gif . I admit I'm still an amateur photographer and not as knowledgable as most sifus here, but I'm always learning, so any advice or comments are most welcome. I'm also a backup photographer for my company, so when our official photographer's not available, I get to go as a last choice sweat.gif (they say my lil knowledge on photography is enough, but I still feel like a noob) heehee...

I'm probably one of the dying few people who still use film SLR... Mine's a Nikon F65D and I love it. True, it may be bulky and you can't preview the images you've shot and you are also limited to 36 shots per-roll, but the results are more than worth it. The biggest problem is transferring them to the computer as dust or scratches always get into the photo. Recently I started experimenting with digital cameras, firstly using a 2nd-hand Sony P10, 3rd hand Canon S60 and graduating to a Sony T30. They're consumer cameras but I'm pretty impressed with their results. Too bad they offer little or no options when it comes to adjusting aperture or shutter speed. I try to make my photos interesting despite those limitations (the F65D is still my fav though).

My long-term plan is going digital with a DSLR, but I admit they're still pretty scary to me... unsure.gif Anyways, hope to be part of the photo-taking community here... It's nice to see people sharing the same interest and passion for photography biggrin.gif

Miri (16-04-2007)
Visited my best friend in Miri, never thought that the beach would be so pleasant to shoot. Experimented a lil with the digital camera. There's lil overexposure I think...

Random Shots
Here are some photos taken here and there. They're a lil older, but just thought I should share as well. I'm sure you'd notice that some suffer from visible dust. Wish I had a solution cry.gif

Photoshoot - Farah
This was taken a couple of years back, it's my 1st assignment as "backup photographer" (I'm such a noob!)... It was a lil interview. Supposed to use my F65D but figured there'd be no way to slot it in for a newspaper that'd be sent to print the next day (it was a last min thingy and film takes time). So digital it was... could've been much better I think~

Random Shots II
Here are some more random photos, these are a lil old, I lost the original copies (sad cry.gif) and the only thing left are these digital scans. These utilise the (almost) forgotten art of B&W photography... tongue.gif

Thanks, actually it was a lil experiment with high-speed shutter, my friend threw the chair in the air and I snapped it. Well, my pet sis at the back (in the pic) sure got a shock after that laugh.gif

Will post a couple of older pics 1st, I'll have to update my current collection soon... (been taking too much digital lately, goin back to film for a while) blush.gif

I was looking forward to posting new photos from a recent event, but old faithful F65D gave up on me just as I was about to shoot the first subject cry.gif Will have to wait till it gets serviced before I can continue submitting new stuff... (sad, hopefully it's something minor) Couldn't use the T30 either as it's being serviced too (defect, sent under warranty)

or 2nd hand D70s for starters? biggrin.gif

Edited : Btw, you can send your negatives to get it digitized instead of scanning the printed one...
