QUOTE(-pWs- @ Feb 5 2008, 07:47 PM) my x2 4000 already at its limit for my vcore. Wouldnt like increasing more due to temps. Would OC-ing the card more would generate more points and in what range? maybe 200-300 marks? |

Would OC-ing the card more would generate more points and in what range? maybe 200-300 marks? your card is on bottle neck. overclock the 8800gt only when you had the fans 100% all the time or get a new vga cooler. but then your 3dmark won't increase much due to the bottleneck. |

QUOTE(akachester @ Feb 5 2008, 03:49 PM) Some nice review of the 8800GT here. Sorry if this is a repost. the core temp hit 109c with this passive cooler First up, the Sparkle 8800GT CoolPipe3. For who that is interested in having a passive cooler 8800GT, think again. This custom CoolPipe3 can cook an egg. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |

QUOTE(jiahuilee @ Feb 6 2008, 02:59 PM) haha selling eggs? good idea.. Yes, its indeed hot but not until a dangerous level. Heck, the Sparkle as said in post above registered over 100c. So, i guess there is nothing to worry about. anyway i realize my gc is also running at a kinda dangerous temp.
