Upgrade the cpu ? If what you're using now is the X2 5400+ , then it should be sufficient enough if you only game , not extensive benchmarking . Don't buy the bottleneck crap , most game isn't utilized for quad core yet , and also GPU dependent .

My suggestion is OC the cpu as high as possible ... wink.gif

It wouldn't be major enough to warrant a new purchase . At 1680x1050 , 4XAA , 8xAF the difference is minimal , just couples of frames .

Besides , I don't think using a Toms Chart for 3dmark06 just to look at the cpu score is a wise choice . 3Dmark06 already leaning to more CPU dependant , having Quad core will just churn out doubled CPU scores , but this doesn't apply to current games . wink.gif

yup it's true to a certain degree..
but for cpu intensive games such as world in conflict, even at 1680x1050 u still can see cpu bottleneck..
why don u check the goldfries' article about bottlenecking at his blog, btw i just read it rclxms.gif

as compared to giga mobo price ranged btw RM300-400.. the built in sound is not as detail as the audigy... eg: In generals: Zero hr game, i can actually hear the engine sounds.

I noticed this when i actually played my PC (audigy) and then my bro's (just giga built in sound). The diff is very much diff. also, if you have a good/decent speakers.. try not to use the built in one.

That's all about my exprs....

Some nice review of the 8800GT here. Sorry if this is a repost.

First up, the Sparkle 8800GT CoolPipe3.

For who that is interested in having a passive cooler 8800GT, think again. This custom CoolPipe3 can cook an egg.
