i just bought a HDMI cable 4 my samsung LCD tv but y i cant choose 1080p in my xbox360? the xbox360 dont let me choose the resolution

not really an expert at this...but maybe becos your tv is not full HD?
mine is the same. samsung s series. with component, i can get up to 1080p..but with hdmi...only up to 1080i. so logically, it's because the tv is not full hd. if your tv is full hd..then it's another reason.  |

make sure your tv can support 1080p, and then check if the game supports 1080p.
