As mentioned in Lower Ping How To in wow forum that these " Nagle algorithm " is the culprit for high latency.. wondering if the new patch works as good as lowerping service did =) Mmm btw, why do people fixed it in a sec, and blizzard takes years to figure out why? Bliz seem dont care about oceanic player, but I think now, they do care =) This post has been edited by kenzai82: Dec 14 2007, 05:45 PM

Takes guts to actually stop finger-pointing and actually get one's hands dirty to get the job done.

because...maybe this 'nagle' algorithm is essential for certain programs to work, they dont just put something named NAGLE into the interbutts.

hhahahaha, some people really... they dont seem to know how programming logics sometimes work, yet they assume its the ignorance and selfishness of the programmers that causes these high latency

the thread that introduces the fix via linux route/registry fix already explained it if any of you guys bothered to take a quick 10-20mins read. if TCP is configured by default the way linux route/registry is, you can almost guarantee a worldwide degrade in the internet thanks to heavier bandwidth usage and heavy ping/ACK requests/delivery
