A number of Malaysians players will cross the Causeway to join two large scale tournament. One is KODE5 SEA which reward the winner with a ticket to KODE5 World Finals in Moscow, Russia. Meanwhile, another one is GXL Season 2 which reward a lot of money to the winners. I will try my best to bring coverage from both events with the help of folks from GameSync.net and GXL.

I just saw the news at Team Hybrid website that Hybrid|rico not going to KODE5 with the team due to birthday celebration. That means Hybrid will use 5 players lineup instead of the earlier 6 players rotating lineup after the inclusion of Jackal. [source]

Players update

- Pin will meet Singapore's top player, fsk3.gosubay in KODE5 SEA Warcraft 3 quarter finals tomorrow, after being seeded straight for his online qualifier achievement. It's a single elimination tournament, so it's going to be a do or die mission for Pin.

- Kingsurf is now in the middle of battle against Indonesian powerhouse, XcN.Trilogy. It's their first match of double elimination stage.

- First casualties of the day. GH.Charlie is out of the tournament. Being second in their group, they didn't managed to qualify for the double elimination round.

- Meanwhile, I still haven't got any news for CS.

- I forgot to mention that our Warcraft 3 player at KODE5 SEA also among the final 16 player at GXL. Pin is scheduled to meet his 1st opponent, HowToAbuse in the double elimination stage at 8:00 pm.

- Syuji and unkool (of GH.Alpha) were eliminated from the Halo 3 FFA tournament, while another player - ed1001 managed to proceed up to Round of 32 and then got eliminated at that stage.

- Seems that Pin already won his match since his name already appeared at the double elimination bracket.

- Same goes to the current MYM PriDe #8 Top 4 team, Kingsurf. They won against Outbreak and set battle against Sweety in the next round.

- Good news! GH.Beta is among the final 8 teams for Halo 3 2vs2! Kudos to lunatism and mav3tan! Thing were not as good for GH.Alpha though since they shared the same fate as GH.Charlie.

- Finally some news about FIFA'08. Apparently [W|nDs]Si_Jali and Jaylike7 didn't make it through group stages.

- Meanwhile, Kingsurf defeated their opponent, Sweety. With that victory, they are going to meet Impreza in the lower brackers semi-finals. If Kingsurf able to pull this off, they will meet Zenith in lower brackets finals.

- Pin just received the word that OxygeN- will be his first opponent in GXL double elimination stage.

[Sunday - 1:00pm]

- Kingsurf defeated Impreza this morning and are fighting against Zenith in lower bracket's finals. This mean Kingsurf already booked at least 2nd runner-up placing. That's one confirmed achievement already.

[Sunday - 3:00pm]

- w00t! Kingsurf defeated Zenith! They are going to finals and going to face XcN.Trilogy once again. It's a Malaysia vs Indonesia showdown, people. *clap2*

[Sunday - 4:00pm]

- Ah, OxygeN- defeated Pin! Pin is now in the lower bracket and is up against...FsK3.Gosubay, his opponent at KODE5!

[Sunday - 5:00pm]

- Another defeat for Pin. FsK3.Gosubay have eliminated Pin from the tournament.

- I still fail to get any update on KODE5. Sigh.

- Halo 3 2v2 double elimination matches have begun. GH.Beta opponent will be FsK3.Underrated.

- Marcus of GXL reported that Kingsurf managed to score a win against the Indonesians thus forcing them into a tie-breaker match. Go Kingsurf!!

[Sunday - 6:00pm]

- The finals between Kingsurf and XcN.Trilogy have finally come into an end. Sadly, Kingsurf lost the match with the final score of 2 - 1. Still, they are going home with SGD 2,000 reward.

- GH.Beta also lost to FsK3.Underrated which brought them to Halo 3 2v2 lower bracket. Sadly, they also lost their lower bracket's match against Team.Xtreme.

Finally! Some update from KODE5!!!

- Sadly to say, Team Hybrid didn't make it to Top 8 stage. Apparently, Team FeelThePain is at the top of their group and only one team can advanced.

- There's still no news about Pin at KODE5 though. But the chances are pretty slim as he already lost to FsK3.Gosubay during GXL lower bracket match.

[Sunday - 8:45pm]
Final update for today.

- Pin made it up till semi-final at KODE5. He was defeated by Girlyluck who eventually became the KODE5 SEA Warcraft 3 champion.
- It is not yet known what is Pin final standing, whether 3rd or 4th placing. Still, it's an awesome job by Pin. (UPDATE: He got third place!)

meeting Kingsurf twice and got a default loss in 1 more game because opponent misunderstood the set up time ...


problem with gxleague is for every round u get 2 opponents 1st opponent u host the other opponent will host for the other game... some opponents who get the "hosting right" sometimes abuse their hosting right by refusing to change host and use bad host ( mostly bad host plays in lan shop ) ...

same for cs if they know u cant play on the default time & they will get free w/o

I think it's still a bit early...also not sure whether GXL will release demo or not.

Anyway, more updates!

- Kingsurf will meet Outbreak in their first lower bracket match.

- mav3tan and labbit13 were eliminated from Halo 3 FFA tournament. I'm not sure they really playing or not, but since their names is on the bracket, I assume they did.

Alright, finally some updates from KODE5.

- Team Hybrid didn't make it to Top 8 stage. They didn't came on the top of their group. Instead it was Team FeelThePain.
- Still no news about Pin's progress at KODE5.

sorry coz i cant find a place to online in SG.

Anyway i was very unlucky coz in my group there this guy name Zul who is the FIFA XBOX CHAMP 2 YEARS IN A ROW. Man talking about a pro vs a beginner(me) early on.

The match was very close.The goals was just hard to come by. In the end since he knew more abt how the game engine works more than i do he got lucky with the goals beating me fair and square 3-1.

Since only the champ of every group qualify, i must win the next opponent by a large margin to increase my chance to qualify IF Zul has some hickups. I beat my oppponent(forgot wht his name is) by 5-1.


But since Zul is a pro, eventhough it was a hard match for him to beat tht guy, he still won by 2-0. And he qualified.


Eventhough it wasnt a nice feeling i have to admit that he is a better player and also a humble nice person. U can c the diff between a person who train for years than months. Plus it reminds me of how does it feel like to be a newbie against a pro. Reminds me of how i 1st started in competitive gaming.

Anyway i did learn some new stuffs here. 1 of it NEVER TAKE THE 1st LINK TO SG! ITS DAMN CROWDED AND SLOW! Bcoz of it i missed Zuhur and Asar! i guess thts y i lost.. lol
