Hullo there,
I've just setup my comp with ubuntu 7.10 and it's running headless. I installed tightvnc server (for VNC) and openssh for terminal commands.
the thing is i'm trying to access the vnc server thru internet from work (to my home where my linux box is). I could VNC to it successfully if i'm on the same LAN as the linux server, i just type LANaddress:1 on the remote computer using vnc viewer and i get connected.
but when i try to access from work, it can't connect and says unable to resolve host name. I have already subscribed to dyndns and my dynamic ip is attached to the domain name. also i already forwarded the correct port (5900) on my router.
please help.
