my parents do buy us a bit of toys when we are kids la, like lego and lasy sets, i know those are not actually cheap as well...... i remember only once that i saw a power ranger toy that i like very very much and hope so much that my dad and mum will buy for me, but anyway they never did.... then i usually know they wont buy so wont ask for it anyway...... I dont have pets until im in high school, but most of them are either rescued birds or gift from someone else..... so not bought by my parents anyway......

Many parents will trade u with something if u get good results, but i never actually trade with buying toys, i usually trade with other stuffs, like stamps or to buy me a book..... i will only bug my mum to buy me a book i like last time.... guess tf is not that important in my heart anyway back then although i always wished to get them..... lol......

anyway i sometimes think each generation is lucky by their own way, i like my parents era as well..... less crime, lotsa forested area nearby where u can interact with wildlifes which many are hardly seen today...... Once u get something u will loose some other, its very fair....... but sometimes i just think kids nowadays are a little at the downside..... parents too easily fulfilling their needs, next time they will spend money like nothing..... so i loved my family culture as well..... when my frens are winning about no money at the end of month waiting for the next salary, im spending my extras on tfs (and books, books are my true collection item, tf just some secondary collection.....)..... lol....

i have an old handphone, nokia 3310 and is still using it now, anyway i got an LG c1150 lately, both are cheap phones, and both are phones previously used by my dad, mum or brother..... i only get the LG after my 3310 is spoilt, then i get another 3310 which is previously my brothers then my mums then noyone use as a back up phone in case of emergency when anything happened to my LG, and thk god i did that coz the LG reli get spoilt for a few weeks recently.....

home console??? i never have such thing in my house, and we never asked for it, probably a PC desktop is good enuf so we think its better than none....

mp3 player? i bought myself a very cheap wan few years ago and still using it, not even upgraded.... still 128MB only....

Branded clothing??? i dont go for brands.... i dont care about brands anyway......

laptop? erm i bought myself a laptop this year becos i need it for my work, before this im still using an outdated desktop PC although im studying computer.......
Thats why i think that im similar to u in many ways, our priority are placed on some other stuff that we think is important than any other usual person, for me, my money is spent mainly on books and tfs (tfs is not legal for my family, is the first time i learnt to waste money, my mum will probably kill me if she finds out..... lol). Since my parents wont support me buying tfs, of coz they dont know i did buy and i wont be using their credit card to do so..... yup, im working, better than some other ppl who is not working but need buy tf using own pocket money or angpao money.... i dont have much angpao money, bcoz i dont have much rich frens, and during new year we barely go to many places to get ang pao, each year ang pao total can be only sufficient to buy a voyager.... pocket money, i have some by eating very little at school and spend as little as possible.... the pocket money plus angpao money is still currently kept by me, haven finish using it, but i have used some to self fund myself for the graduation trip, since parents wont fund me coz they think too expensive.... i add on the extra that they are not willing to pay..... now, things are better, with a job, which is not very high pay, and has to minus money spent for my student bill.... i still have money to spend on tfs compared to my coursemates.... i will rather walk to uni 15 minutes a day rather than paying 70 cents a day, i went thru a horrible rm6 per day food budget for a few months, and there i am..... they always say i am rich, i can buy all the tf, but are they willing to give up movies, entertainment, food and etc just for tf?? they failed to do that...... I have heard about this before, u will be rich if u spend wisely....
