QUOTE(lilsunflower @ Jul 1 2018, 08:53 PM) I recall reading about someone posting that their balance did not tally with their listed transactions, and just wanted to share my own experience. I track my own expenses via Excel and compare against the listing on the app. Last Thursday I bought MacD from the self-order and pay machines, for RM22.60. Until now it hasn't shown up on the app, but my balance has been reduced by this exact amount. This is the first time I've got a "non tracked" transaction, but wanted to check whether anyone else had a similar experience. Same thing happened with me, a petrol transaction in UK didn't register in the app for 1 and a half days (enough time for me to fly back and check here), but the amount was deducted. The next morning the amount was slightly changed (update of conversion rate) and everything was matching.

QUOTE(vinn @ Jul 2 2018, 08:27 AM) Does this support topup with foreign credit card? What is the MCC for topup? Will I get banned by bigpay if I topup rm2000 monthly and withdraw afterwards? Thanks in advance Don't believe anyone has tried, why not you try and report it? Regarding ban, whether banned or not is not transparent to us as users. Obviously crazy things like 65k in 2 months is over whatever threshold they set, but (in my opinion) 2k per month isn't too obvious, especially if you're also using the card regularly for actual swipes. However if all you do every month is reload and withdraw then quite risky. All this is just guessing la of course.

QUOTE(chonghe @ Jul 3 2018, 09:32 AM) Anybody tried calling BP before? Tried many times but no one answered the call QUOTE(BigPayJonathan @ Jul 3 2018, 10:19 AM) We're busy scaling up the capabilities of our call center in order to answer to growing numbers of inquiries we're receiving. Bear with us! I just called them 10 minutes ago, got directly through and CS agent was quite helpful. Noisy background though, can hear other CS agents in the background talking to other customers, but my own CS agent was clear enough la. Not bad. Generally I like to call mid-morning like this as it seems call volume not as much compared to lunch time.

QUOTE(BigPayJonathan @ Jul 4 2018, 11:39 AM) The short answer is: you will always be able to top up your BigPay with a credit card. :clapping: that's good news I do notice however you don't mention any other possible limitations. Regardless it's great to have you here. Say hi to your big boss T from the active LYN members.

QUOTE(lamode @ Jul 4 2018, 03:11 PM) there are people doesn't has CC, but using BP oversea for its exchange rate. Fair point. Didn't think about that case, I assumed Malaysians will almost always have a Malaysian CC.

QUOTE(yom@m@ @ Jul 5 2018, 09:33 AM) i'm interested in getting this card as i'll be in Europe soon & will make a lot of payments/bookings etc. my question is the statement "Pay the real exchange rate" holds true? I've just paid my hotel with my other card (Euro 21 @ RM108.07, hella expensive!). Can i expect to pay a lower rate with BigPay? Yes it's true, but make sure to pay in the foreign currency (especially if doing online). For face-to-face swipe then no issue.

QUOTE(BigPayJonathan @ Jul 9 2018, 09:33 AM) Hey guys. Yeah, it's been a "great" Sunday... Long story short, the app was down for about 7 hours. Here are all the different things that might have happened to you and how things will be solved. - You tried topping up and the money was deducted from your credit / debit card, but it doesn't show in your BigPay account. We will manually settle all top ups that were made during down time yesterday and the balance will be reflected accordingly. Depending on the amount of top up attempts that were made, it should be done by end of day tomorrow. - You tried paying for something. The transaction was declined, but the amount was still deducted from your BigPay account. Same as above: we will manually settle all failed transactions. This process is a bit more tedious as it involves more work for our finance department - but all hands are on deck. I'll keep you posted on the resolution timeline. We also posted an official statement on Facebook that I invite everyone to read: https://www.facebook.com/bigpaymeThanks for update I wasn't personally affected but could tell from the posts here that it was a BIG problem

QUOTE(tan_aniki @ Jul 9 2018, 10:28 AM) just take away their referral rewards and disable their future referral rewards. i think u need to setup another CS team just for checking this by google all the referral code, should be easy to trace down those who sharing their referral code publicly. This would work, but those users are customers as well and there would be backlash. A 'better' but more technically difficult way would be to monitor the social media channels this happens on (primarily FB) and put a cooldown (let's say 48 hours) where referrals would not earn anything for the referring party (but the new sign-up still receives the referral bonus). This would need to be communicated in some way in the app (for example show 'denied' as the status for the referral). Unfortunately it's still just about zero cost to the offender, but I don't think BigPay is prepared to implement any punitive measures for this.

QUOTE(dopp @ Jul 10 2018, 09:05 AM) i have the card, but not sure how to use it ? or rather to take full advantage of it. I have PB vis with cashback so i reload the bigpay to get cashback ? and use the bigpay like a mastercard to buy something , say from Lazada? Why not just use PB vis to just buy from Lazada? Also you can take full advantage of PBB's cashback4u promo (8xRM60 spending, currently). Say you wanna buy something from Lazada this coming week that costs RM300. It will only count as one swipe so you need to find 7 more RM60 swipes to get RM50 cashback on that promo. But if you're using BigPay you can reload 8xRM60 direct, swipe your BigPay to get the item, and get the RM50 cashback easily.

QUOTE(Barricade @ Jul 10 2018, 09:25 AM) I thought PBB cashback4u doesn't allow duplicate transactions? Go follow the PBB thread, we been discussing there for months. T&C does not disallow duplicate transactions, only split transactions. Multiple transactions work, and have worked for ages. E.g. if you go to a supermarket and swipe RM50 once, then RM50 again (2 different bills) that is two swipes. Same thing online.

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Jul 12 2018, 10:12 AM) this preauthorization was more "transparent" before pin&pay initiative. mostly ppl uses cc to pump.
when p&p started, we all were forced to debit card whereby it's more obvious whereby the pre-auth amount seemed to be deducted from DC/account. Wait why p&p force to debit card? I've been using credit card forever and didn't switch even with the p&p being implemented.

QUOTE(willonsk @ Jul 17 2018, 11:30 AM) the true gem behind i think probably is the "unclaimed money" i believe no everyone will "zerolise" the account before u leave BP one day like TouchNgo card or other bank acc. Really, you like leaving significant amounts behind in cash when it's possible to withdraw? QUOTE(digidigi @ Jul 17 2018, 12:47 PM) Instead of monitoring us spending too high too frequent withdrawal too frequent etc which nth related to money laundering, they should just focus on increase the reliability of their system Money laundering isn't the only problem, there's also the problem of arbitrage for which BigPay could get sanctioned by Bank Negara. They should quickly release their guidelines so we can follow.
