In conjunction with the 62nd birthday of the Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, our beloved foundress of Assunta Secondary School Sister Enda Ryan will receive the Darjah Kebesaran Datuk (DSIS) which carries the title Datuk or Datin Paduka for women!

Ex-LaSallean and The Antioch Song Ministry Gerry Alphonso, producer of the Christmas Joy! CD album was overjoyed to hear this last evening that he decided to contribute 50% of the proceeds from the sale of the CDs to fund community projects supported by Assunta Alumni, including:

* Tadika Fatima, a day-care centre-cum-kindergarten set up by Sister Letitia, FMM for underprivileged children in Taman Medan, Kg Gandhi.
* Assunta Children Society who provide support and help to the less privileged families and their children.
* Anak SEWO - Sister Enda Welfare Organization (formerly known as Assunta Welfare Organization); to pay exam fees, provide food allowance in the canteen and transport for underprivileged students at our mission school Assunta PJ.
