I just bought a lg l204wt for my mac mini. However, when I hook it up using the DVI cable, the screen won't show, but when I use the analog/RGB cable, no problem at all.
No message pop up when I use the DVI cable but instead, the screen just goes black and the light indicator is still blue, which mean the monitor is still receiving the signal, yellow indicates power saving mode.
I have no idea how to deal with it. Can somebody help me?
Thanks
Can you use the buttons on the monitor to see its view of the signal specs? No message pop up when I use the DVI cable but instead, the screen just goes black and the light indicator is still blue, which mean the monitor is still receiving the signal, yellow indicates power saving mode.

For instance, on this viewsonic monitor I can piddle around with the buttons until it tells me:
H.Frequency: 65 KHZ
V.Frequency: 60 Hz
Resolution: 1680x1050
Pixel Clock: 145 MHz
You may at least learn whether or not it is communicating with the computer.
Also, was the cable supplied with the monitor or did you purchase it elsewhere?
