when this part is typed in, will it show a reply or something like the socat command?
i have tried a couple of times setting the route but i am unable to login to the server. not sure which part of it is wrong

first one wont give a reply, only the 2nd command will give a few lines reply. and if your route is done properly, it will start to spam your console screen with data packets being transfered.

for me, as what you said, first one no reply, 2nd one a few lines. so if it's done properly the console i typed those commands will start showing the data packets?
what if i am connecting through wireless? will there be something else that needs to be done?
