Reviving an old thread.
Done the registry tweak, and although opinions state that this is outdated information and changes have already been implemented with the new patches; I am now enjoying ping of 400ms - 600ms, a significant drop from the 800ms range I used to experience.
I use Maxis Broadband Wireless, and I live on the third floor of an apartment complex, and therefore am very happy with the results. Really enjoy my BG now with way less lag.
Thanks for the tweak tips.
I've tried the registry tweak on both Streamyx & Celcom Broadband (384kbps), it lower the ping for Celcom broadband by ~200ms, down from 600-800 to 400-600, smooth gaming even WG with alot of AOEs. while streamyx almost remain the same. So I think this still work well on wireless broadbond, but not on the fixed line.Done the registry tweak, and although opinions state that this is outdated information and changes have already been implemented with the new patches; I am now enjoying ping of 400ms - 600ms, a significant drop from the 800ms range I used to experience.
