QUOTE(xpresside @ Jan 29 2008, 12:19 PM) yea the problem is that instruction in page 1 is too vague dont use the script, for some reason i cant get it to work, i just trial and error via the manual optionso ok, i've clicked on the safer option, then what?follow the prompt eh, if i choose different prompt, the script will exit after trial and error it says installed, after i boot, it goes in dos menu, stuck in POST screen im getting XIO: fatal IO error 104 (Connection reset by peer) on X server ":0.0 T_T Added on January 29, 2008, 1:08 pm QUOTE(dopp @ Jan 29 2008, 12:50 PM) router's routing functions usually doesnt include conditionings/modifying of data packets AFAIK. so prolly not. This post has been edited by Quazacolt: Jan 29 2008, 01:08 PM |

yup router's wont work....linux work because the algorithm that linux use to send packets are different compared to windows, and if u try, even normal surfing on a linux is much more faster compared to windows powered browsers....

(OMG MY PING IS DAMN HIGH, ITS 150ms!!1!11!!eleven!satu!!) |

I am not sure...but I think this patch depreciates all of these lower ping fixes.
I set it up on my FreeBSD server with wkkay's help and nawp 0 difference. World of Warcraft Client Patch 2.3.2 (1/8/2008) * Reduced network latency by disabling the Nagle algorithm. QUOTE General * /timetest is a command that can be run to provide information on game performance. /timetest 0 turns the command off. When the command is issued, the next time a player uses a flight master to travel, certain statistics will be measured and displayed at the end of that flight. All weather effects and spawns are shutdown during the test. * Effects triggered from being critically hit: Many abilities and talents were changed in 2.3.0 to allow them to trigger from critical strikes that occurred while the player benefitting from them was sitting. These abilities once again do not trigger if the victim is sitting. * Quest givers with blue question marks no longer show up on the minimap. * NPC's who you have completed a quest for will display a question mark on mouseover rather than an exclamation point. * The bank controls for the guildmaster level of a guild is now grayed out. A guildmaster always has full access to a guild bank and this cannot be changed. * A "Withdraw-Repair Only" button has been added to the guild bank controls. If this is set for a guild rank, then that rank cannot actually withdraw funds from the guild bank, but they can still use that daily amount of money for repairs. * You will now automatically stand up when attacked, even if the attack doesn't land. * Reduced network latency by disabling the Nagle algorithm. |

nop, its still working and makes a big diff. I'm using linux port forwarding, and without it my ping will be around 600, and with it constant 350-450....makes a big diff, especially for melee class users...

sorry for the stupid question but i stucked at "success!" while logging in to wow and if i choose the specific realm i set followed the step, it just stucked there, but no problem while logging in to other realm. I have to "route delete my realm ip" in order to enter my realm.
i had every step done and my VM are able to use firefox to search web. I am pretty sure my command typing was all correct until the step below: socat[2270] I socat by Gerhard Rieger - send bug reports to socat@dest-unreach.org socat[2270] I setting option "tcp-nodelay" to 1 socat[2270] I setting option "fork" to 1 socat[2270] I setting option "so-reuseaddr" to 1 socat[2270] I setting option "substuser" o 65534 socat[2270] I starting accept loop socat[2270] N listening on AF=2 0.0.0.0:3724 can somebody help me with this problem? i am using wireless router with dynamic ip address, does it have someting to do with the failure?
