another p.i.t.a thing happens...
i play 2 wow server, so its kinda lazy to type alllllll the command again. is there any script in feather to do it?

offtopic:theres a rumor saying deluge (a torrent dloader in linux) can bypass all the stupidsh throttling, is there any deluge version for feather? (theres one for ubuntu, debian, but cant find any for feather. )

im using the feather solution and somehow im stuck at choosing character screen. i reset everything n do it all over again and same thing happen. i check all the cmds and everything is ok in both feather n windows. can tell me any other possible this could happen? plz....

I just tweak window's registry to set the TcpAckFrequency default value to 1 instead of 2. I explained how to do it in the lowerping thread below. However got flamed cos some people dun know how to do it lolx. Anyways, am playing with 200ms latency now using the windows registry tweak plus my website loading times are AWESOME! really dang fast. It has to do with windows.

You see the way it works is windows sets your pc to ping the server and waits for a reply then ping again for more info. Whereas once i set the default to 1 it just pings the server like a mad man lolx. So ping and keep on telling the server that it needs more info instead of waiting for the server to reply then ping again. I hope this explains how my method works.

**Do not this might not work for some. But so far among my friends about 30++ of them it works compared to 4 of them of whom this method doesn't work.

And now to explain how to do this:-

1. Run Regedit
2. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > System > CurrentControlSet > Services > Tcpip > Parameters > Interfaces
3. under Interfaces you open one of the folders (The one with your ip)
4. Right Click and New>DWORD Value
5. Value name : TcpAckFrequency : Value Data = 1

6. Close and restart.

I understand there will be a few folders to choose from I did it by trial and error, i.e. DO one the test wow, check ping, if it's not low enough then do the same in another folder to get the right folder, cos i could not find one which stated my i.p.

I know not everyone likes to tweak their registry but those who like to this is another option instead of installing linux.

hmm..im giving up now, already assigned both DHCP n in router setting both are in dynamic ip... this is sux

when this part is typed in, will it show a reply or something like the socat command?
i have tried a couple of times setting the route but i am unable to login to the server. not sure which part of it is wrong

it should be static ip from DHCP so they dont change ip upon expiriing, and in your windows/VM, they should be set to automatically grab IP/allow DHCP to assign IP

first one wont give a reply, only the 2nd command will give a few lines reply. and if your route is done properly, it will start to spam your console screen with data packets being transfered.

for me, as what you said, first one no reply, 2nd one a few lines. so if it's done properly the console i typed those commands will start showing the data packets?
what if i am connecting through wireless? will there be something else that needs to be done?

the new patch wif the removal of nagle algorithm has been implemented...
anyone removed their registry hack or VM server and still feels the same?
or...there's differences...?

lol it doesnt help much, but there is reduction, probably 10-30% reduction.

im sticking to my VM cuz it also help in my DSL signal lost recovery to prevent me from dropping WoW
