Hey I'm using WinXP, is there any software that will able to import and export mp3 in my ipod. Coz my iTunes is not working at all... it cannot detect my ipod.
Other software than iTunes?, iTunes not working

TS, do you use other USB devices too? if itunes cannot detect your ipod (is say need to reinstall /restore something) it could be because your ipod's drive character is currently in used by something else, like usb device or mapped network drive.
right-click mycomputer>manage then go to Disk Management and reassign drive characters from there. a good sign is you can "see" the ipod inside device manager but itune cannot. |

QUOTE(d3vilzzzz @ Dec 12 2007, 06:34 PM) winamp? hmm...this is interesting.. i've tried in winamp. it will ask for syncing. Even if 'No' is selected, the iPod still can be accessed in winamp. In Media Library it will show up under Portables. mmm...personally i still prefer using iTunes for transfer. But the feature of copying song from the iPod to the computer really comes in handy. Opss...'Don't Steal Music'. hehehe...a phrase which all iPod owner should be familiar with.wat do u mean by haven personally try it..u said u plug ur ipod in n ur winamp ask u wat ipod u were using so dat sync -ing can be done..?? |

cilakak, just got an ipod touch and windows connectivity sucks.
itunes detects fine but despite having the correct drivers mine wont appear in disk mode even after manual manage of files in itunes. so cant backup via winamp which doesnt detect it as portable. id try some tricks but too scared corrupt stuff lah, oredi had 1 accidental sync wipe, f***er i hate u itunes!. |
