QUOTE(Hwee @ Jan 13 2011, 07:47 PM) My chef recommends Taylor's and KDU for Culinary Arts, maybe you can think about it seriously, the cost is very high because of the professional lecturer or chef, perhaps? Anyway, I've gone through a training in kitchen (hotel) before, it was hell for me, lol! However, passion can motivate a person to go on, haha! Bro, can share your experience why was it hell for you what they make you do?

Munak991 thanks for the info. Also how is the working environment at the hotels will the chef be shouting at you using bad words? I like cooking but I'm worried about the working environment if there a lot of shouting with bad words I don't think this field for me. I don't mind getting negative feedback as long as you tell me nicely

Hey munak thanks again for giving all the info. Are you a graduate from taylors? Wta will lecturer give you homework to do, like go home cook a dish then bring to class? Asking bcs the room where I renting they don't allow me to use the kitchen and also a bit worried about the pay that a diploma holder chef will be getting sounds like it going to be below average income?? Like cooking but if pay is too low might have to go into a field that have more pay.

Hi guys hope its ok i ask this here bcs i see they no thread dedicated to the Hospitality Management side. Any of your did your industrial working in hotel like Hilton? Want to ask the waiter just simply set and clear the table like any untrained restaurant waiter or must they apply the service sequence like what they learn in university???

Thanks for replying bro. I'm ok with setting the table What I hate is clearing the table where u put 1st plate on thumb while you holding the 2nd plate then clear the balance food. Will you have to clear like this or just pick and carry???

To munak and other senior members. How many hotels have your work in and how is the environment? Bcs the hotel I'm currently working in all the chef from low rank right to the top, their mood are like having a period or something just waiting to burst out in anger. Is this normal everywhere??
