while it shows only 2 numbers, are the remaining cut off? or is it like, limiting his input to 2 numbers only?

like setting a static ip for the ps3, upnp settings, etc?

I believe my upnp was disabled, till I manually enabled it. Oh, and try adding the ps3's ip into the DMZ

yeah, sometimes those routers add so much functions, end up being more troublesome for us only

I'm using a d-link modem + a belkin router, I used to get type 3 too, but then I forwarded the ports and set DMZ and finally got type 2

set a static ip for your ps3 and put that ip into the DMZ-enabled ip
