mana ada god hand, maybe my work in labs made my hand a bit steady, but i prefer to shoot in low ISO, slower shutter speed and without flash. I admit that in PC Fair the light condition was a bit challenging.

Got to save little cash for faster lens. Maybe 50mm f1.8 for a starter.

Your subjects seems a little underexposed save for the last two. What metering did you use?

There's one succubus you missed drool.gif. Maybe she's off shift when you were shooting.

It was because of the lightning. Main hall at 2nd and 1st floor used yellow lightning, ground floor more to white florescence light. Got one nice girl near the games booth totally overexposed. Like FESEM mentioned, all my shots were at ISO 200 & 1/8 s. I used M mode that day. So metering does not count.

I only have one comment for all your shots. They are all blurred! 1/8 is too slow for your hands without VR. All the models face are OOF even at this small resolution. I wouldn't want to imagine the full-sized photos. doh.gif

Frankly speaking... PC Fair 3 was rather boring.
- the promoters are too "aggressive" and I could not browse and choose the the stuffs.

- the models are very "funny"... some of them refused to pose at all, most of them covered their bodies with huge leaflets.... so, what is the point if they are are wearing nice, pretty and sexy dress if in the end they were reluctant... i think the organizers should get more open-&-crazy-posing-minded models.... it's is funny when we get these photos online or publish in the newspapers....

Thanks for the tips, i tried slower shutter speed but my hand were so shaky. I was standing about 5 meters from the drift line, scare the drivers might bang me. rclxub.gif

Gotta dig some Henry's photo later and study. I remember he got very nice panning photo if i'm not mistaken.

i used 1/50 for Gen2 and 1/30 for mini cooper. It was hard to do panning without tripod. Thanks for your comment bro!

agree wit andy...i think camera angle was also important to engage viewers interest.Too much unecessary rotation on ur subject will be a 'burden' for the viewers...anyway ur lens is cool..the putrajaya pictures was awesome!!it will make paklah wanna cry... rclxms.gif

no 9, shot around 4 pm, the sun really hot from back, about 45' to the left. I triggered flash from bottom front about 45' to the right using SB-600. Actually this was experimental shot inspired by ShutterSpeak (Zadan)'s trademark, but i think a failed one smile.gif The last results from heavy pp'ed using dodge, burned and cloned tools.

no10 i think normal "must have" wedding shot nowadays...
thanks for your support!

no 1. too many empty space for me i would prefer portrait shot for hantaran and go close up.composition will be much eaiser for you, you'll fill in the bottom part with the subject and give a lil' space on the top part.

n0.4 i like this one!black background makes the subject comes out.

no.6 & 10 : already too many wedding photographer do this laugh.gif

no. 9 : i like this strobe! ehehehe cun!juuuuust.....a lil' bit of halo i can see there. and if they pose lain skit more cun!

hope my comments help bro!

i vote for no 4 & 9.. thumbup.gif
others maybe too "must have" posing for malay wedding.. hehe..seen too many ady..

no 9, nice effect bro.. dosent matterla if u overPPed it, the effect still amazing. thumbup.gif only dun quite prefer the pose..(too...errr.. common?..i think la.. tats my noobie 2 cents anyway..). biggrin.gif

No 10, hehehe... almost all wedding function that i went to, the OPs will ask the couple to do that thing.. so, its common for malay wedding oso. we ought to think of other posing styles/techniques/angle la.. lets think together.. hehe.. biggrin.gif

loved 3 & 4 rclxms.gif very colorful.

for number 2 you might wanna use a bit smaller aperture so that
the texture can be seen clearly. notworthy.gif

eh, isnt this the last couple before this?

for #2 i did use smaller aperture, but not really like that version. All i want was a thin DOF so the kris engraving is on focus but everything elso is OOF. Reflection on kris head came from a window in front. Lucky shot i guess... laugh.gif

yeah, this is the last couple. Last time was at ampang (bride's side) and this time was at bt gajah (groom's side). Unfortunately, the bride is already pregnant now - so morning sickness stole a smile from her face.

I think they got 8 set of backdrops and there were 2 flash strobes in from of each backdrop. Some photog use commander SU-40, and some trigger the strobes using cable. The one i tried use flash sensor, i think any flash can trigger that one...
