anyway, last time he said the uni might abolish this subject for the next intake, i wonder why still got.
agree with what syun said, foundation isnt a honeymoon. the timetable can be quite pack at times. but that doesnt mean you cant have fun.

i took academic study skills during during my 1st sem for foundation, basically it's teaching you how to study and survive your college life, hence the name academic study skills. it could be fun or boring, sometimes depends on how to lecturer conduct the class. there are quite a number of in-class activities for this subject. i've had 2 different lecturers when i took this subject, one was quite boring, and somehow affected the class. the old one left and came a new lecturer, who was not bad la. he was very lenient, can joke around, altho when teaching that time can sometimes be boring, coz all da steps, thoery, etc.
anyway, last time he said the uni might abolish this subject for the next intake, i wonder why still got. agree with what syun said, foundation isnt a honeymoon. the timetable can be quite pack at times. but that doesnt mean you cant have fun. |

not necessary. last time the letter they send to me before entering foundation got picture summore, what to wear on mondays and other days. that time i just follow, bought quite a number of collared t-shirts, thinking must follow. actually i think they're quite lenient on this. occasionally i wear collared ones, but usually i wear round-neck also. that's my POV. any other seniors can comment?

for foundie you're given the timetable. everything is already arranged for you by the academic staff. i'm not so sure about the min requirement, i think it's cgpa of 2.0.

i heard that now the uni has a policy..no classes are held in friday afternoons. it seems it's reserved for some activities.in case they want to organize student talks or something like that. for 2 sems i havent had any classes on friday, so it's considered a long weekend for me. if wanna balik kampung thursday afternoon can chao edy. haha

QUOTE(DreMAx @ Jun 18 2008, 05:27 PM) I am in MechEng Foundation programme. Ahzz... I still need to find a place to stay in Bangi town le... travelling from my house in PJ will burn petrol like nobody's business why don't you stay in the apartment for the 1st semester? then you can slowly take your time survey around for houses..and their location too..besides, staying in the hostel is not that bad mar..or you can cycle from PJ.. |

you don't need to pay the whole 9k sum at one go. usually it's paid semester by semester, maybe 3k for each sem. some loans/scholarship will bank the money into your account and you have to settle with the finance dept. just make sure every semester you pay the required amount.
