then use a bicycle la. people do that over there wat. one german lecturer also use bicycle to commute to and fro everyday for as long as i can remember.

my advices to the ones who'll be joining in and staying inside - don't let urself get hooked on the intranet websites and their contents..movies, series, mangas, animes, LAN games and all that..it'll really consume you if you let it. i know a lot of people who had to drop out because of these things.

and also, be realistic. if you know you're not gud in math or havent the slightest interest - don't take up engineering. my advice - no matter what course you enrolled in during ur foundation - reevaluate urself after the year, and decide whether u r really meant for the course. i got frens who switch sides (from EE to EP..from EE to Civil) during the 4 year programme. it's OKla if u got lots of cash to spend - but if not, then quite troublesomela. i mean for a semester u got to pay more than 5k for the subjects..then add in the apartment (if cendi) an additional 1k. if u were to switch sides - u'll have to learn addtional things and extend some more sems. quite a hefty price to pay i'd say.

overall though - uniten has been gud to me. like the ad says over the radio - i did get a job before i took my finals. so quite OK la. plus i get to go swimming..meet up with lots of peoples..and traveled to a lot of places (a far..far away kind of place..). By all means - join clubs and stuff like tht. U'll regret it if you don't by ur final year.

preparation in what sense? books usually come here only buy..or if you get to know some seniors before you come here then can get from them 1st. ah..usually during whenyou register that time they will ask you to bring some documents, like photos, photostat copy of ic, etc. personal stuff like clothings i think i don't need to mention... tongue.gif

if i'm not mistaken freshies they'll put you in the twin sharing apartment during the first semester. 2nd semester you can choose to move to single room. erm, furniture wise maybe you would need a study table, coz the room no table one. unless you like to sit on the floor, or study outside the hall, coz the study tables are at the hall. besides that, i think the room can be considered equipped edy la. i dunno about the next intake, coz i heard now they're starting to upgrade the rooms, like change mattresses, sofa, etc..maybe got new stuff..who knows..tongue.gif

it's bangi. but now they call it putrajaya campus. internet connection during my 1st sem was ok, coz not many students bring pc/laptop yet. i dun think can use streamyx. coz the uni got a policy about this, that no outside ISPs are allowed. if streamyx you would need a fixed line here anyway. lan port available in each room, cable you have to bring yourself. so far only certain areas have wifi but to use you have to login with your student id.
