Let me comment on today's P1 as well..

I think the paper was fairly ok n up to the point.. And most important, the examiner put it the same style as in the pilot paper.. So, i dun think you all should get any much suprises.. This is level 3 professional paper, requires some critical arguement (in basic term, common sense)..

As the marks allocation (as ThanatosSwiftfire's claim), I also feel abit too much for the amount of points, but i evaluate longer to suit up the marks..

About the outside syllabus matter, i dun think any of acca final part level, u bring ur textbook to exam hall help not that much rite.? At least the examiner asking all qn within the scope of syllabus.. N most of the points i think my lecturer (sheila) did cover with us in the class, smile.gif

Haha, lucky, my decision to ignore ethics' part is correct.. Throw out Q4 optional, the paper nothing much of ethics ady.. hehe, u will study so much lesser without the ethics stuff.. Ignore ethics n still can answer all the question.. smile.gif

Dun worry, be happie.. A reliable source says this sitting P1 passing rate will not be low..!! So, wait n see la till 18th feb.. cheerz.. biggrin.gif

haih.. had very bad stomach ache last nite for alsmost like 5 hours.. and couldnt study.. jus dunno why..

end up.. didnt get to study.. I actually planned to give up P2 already.. jus tot of givin it a try mayb.. but still, couldnt make it..

frens were saying even if u dun pass this sitting, ur marks will still appear on the transcript later on.. having an A (Absent) is better den having marks below 20 ba..

and FYI, my coll.. not much ppl came for P2.. i think most gave up wit it..

im kinda like.. struggling wit tmr's P3 now.. worried bout the questions..

P1, was more on application.. case study dat their gave.. is like non-related to questions.. 50/50 ba.. but i think im more to the failing side =p
*
Harr..?? Y not just continue force urself to enter the hall..?? Unless u feel money n time is not ur constraint at all, there is no any other reason for missing the exam.. anyway, i think P2 this round pretty much better than i expected.. only Q1 bit time consuming, the rest all okie..

*

hey..y u dun enter to the hall?
the exam is not really difficult this time...
but all the ppl spot on a wrong area...
no financial instrument at all and no deferred tax...sigh~
but the group account is not complex la~
*
There is abit on deferred tax in Q3, but only few marks for simple calculation..
Also, dun forget, receivable is one of the financial asset.. Again, minor marks..

jus want to ask,is there a rule that u have to get at least 25 marks in question 1 for u to pass P2?
*
So far, it is not stated anywhere in the acca rules.. But rumours pass on such story.. not too sure how much truth inside it..

QUOTE(MickyMouse @ Dec 13 2007, 02:34 AM)
hey guys..

if i wan to take Ms. Menon's class for P2.. can i just tuition 1 subject in Sunway? or i have to take the whole course?
*
u may do it part-time in sunway taking one subject...

QUOTE(carlosandy @ Dec 13 2007, 05:23 PM)
P4 - you can go to Daniel Ho (FTMS) or Andrew Pang (KSA)

P6 - Kwai Fatt is a best lecturer, but he didn't run any normal class next sitting. So you have no better choice, only Chow Chee Yan (Mc Orange). But the tuition fees for Chow Chee Yan more expansive than Kwai Fatt and study material less than Kwai Fatt!  cry.gif  cry.gif  cry.gif

P1 - If u want to take, I prefer Philip Woo. But u need to go fast to avoid full house. Cos last sitting full house oh!

Mc Orange is MAKAN ORANG COLLEGE!
*
Dun la say like that.. They just persuing differentiation strategy rather than cost based strategy only ma.. I do think they have the quality in their lecturers teams.. anyway, after all the discounts, im not paying too much only compare to other coll.. nod.gif

ACCA annual return says the annual fees must be paid by 01 jan 2008 in order to remain in the student register.
However i afraid i can clear my P Level already, when my result out by February.
In the case i find that i have to resit any paper again next exam session, can i pay my annual fee after the result released??

reply fast please...
*
Yes, u may.. The annual fees is DUE by 1st january doesnt means final dateline is 1 Jan.. Anyway, pass or not pass u still need to pay ACCA annual fees as a student unless u completed ur working experience (which u pay even more, hahaa).. smile.gif

QUOTE(VpIc @ Mar 22 2008, 11:54 PM)
regarding your accounting book written by Frank Wood, you better check out which edition it is. because there had been quite a number of change made on that book. cause i got one and it's quite irrelevant for current studies.
*
Agree.. But generally last time i read the latest version n I think it was well written, good for understanding accounting basic compare to our acca textbook.. So, I will vote that as recommended book also.. smile.gif

May i know whether I can take one of the optional paper (P4-P7), before taking P2, and P3? (P1 passed already)?

I have been told that there is no requirement to finish essential level first before taking optional paper, but just now when i want to submit my exam entry online, the system doesn't allow me to do so...

Pls help me...
*
I am sorry to tell you cant attempt optional paper before you finish up your essential papers..

Please take note that there is no requirement to follow the order of the papers but it is compulsory to follow the order of te 'module' in acca. You cant skip essential module and jump to optional.. You have no choice but to take the essential..
