i'm also taking P2,3,4,5...here is my personal opinion:

P1- low chin ann @ kolej bandar (he makes things very clear, simple and easy to understand. i passed my F8 thanks to him. you must try him!)

P2- haneef @ mco (he is strong in theories although can be quite bored sometimes)

P3- parminder @ ksa (no doubt the best P3 lecturer in town)

P4- chan tze kang @ mco (the best MA lecturer i've ever attend. not that famous as andrew pang but i love his teaching method!)

hey forumers, anyone care to give any suggestion as to which lecturer is good in teaching F9? i'm thinking of Andrew pang of KSA and Daniel Ho of FTMS. anyone attended any of these lecturer class and find which is better? seemed really less people has gone for Daniel Ho.

Depend on how u expect from the lecturer?

I'm Andrew 2.4 and 3.3 student, I can give some comment abt him. Basically he is very good in calculation part, I can said after u attend his class, your calculation sure be very good. But when come to theory part, ayoh he is not so good lo. During the class, 80% he will cover calculation and 20% only for theory. And at the last day of class, he will give u one set of notes for all the theory and normally tell u which one important to read.

For Daniel Ho, hard to give comment, but according to my friend his teaching method was better than Andrew. Daniel cover both theory and calculation for all the papers.

The main reason for Daniel student less than Andrew was: Andrew is very famous in teaching Financial mgmt and mgmt accounting paper since many years ago as compare to Daniel.

Hi you guys can have your argument but pls respect the lecturer and his name, he is not involved here. if you have studied P1, you should have learned that as well.

Please take note that this section is called the Education Essential, at least put some sense into the statements that you want to argue.

After going through most of the post, I can only see 'Oh, this lecturer is good because he gave me super good tips and I'm already working for some BIG 4 or 5 or 6, as a despatch I believe'.

Is that really an honour or kind of special/high lvl status a person would achieve working in so called BIG4?5?6?

Bear in mind you are still working under someone. and never ever be arrogant as you are just a potato there. Attitude on your job is more important than where you work.

Anyway, Congrat! to all ACCA candidates who pass!
never give up for those fall unfortunately in the exam!

i attended Daniel Ho paper 3.7 class. i can say he is very good in giving explanation on the calculation n theory. u'll understand the formulae thoroughly n how the formulae/calculation is for. once u understand u can apply it n no need to memorise the formula. its good compared to other lecturer who just ask u calculate n never give explanation. its very tough to memorise everything w/out understanding it.

i have no comment for andrew phang cos i din attend his class. but heard alot of my frens saying tat he very good as well.

Im currently attending Danial Ho's F9 at FTMS, i find his teaching style to be very good.. he explains everything in depth and is easily approachable..

and what the rest has said is true.. he covers both aspects, theory and calculations.. his teaching style makes understanding the formulae's a breeze..

i havent gone for andrew pang before, so i cant comment, but so far Daniel Ho is a good choice in my books.

wanna ask which lecturer is better for F8? i'm planning to join Philip Woo class, so which topics already covered by him? is it possible to join now as i worry that i have missed those important topics?

by the way my friend who failed F8 last round asked me to give her tuition for that paper since she has no time to attend classes and i got pretty good marks for that paper. she is willing to offer RM60 per hour. not a bad deal though. but i worry i couldn't teach her well. let's see how. it's my 1st time to become ACCA lecturer.
